Why was this fucker so loud and annoying? I remember barely using it in the game because of that, and the few times I did I had to turn the volume down not to wake up the entire neighborhood.

Not only that, but the summon animation was so fast that you didn't have enough time to do the select+square thing (forgot what it's called) to increase the damage on his attack.

Could this be the worst Final Fantasy summon ever conceived?

It was a minigame they added so that summons wouldn't just be cutscenes. It was a stupid idea, but theyw ere trying to do the correct thing at least.

You'd have to grind Ore and synth them into gems to get the summons do more damage in IX, which is why they sucked for most of the game. Odin and Bahamut do pretty respectable damage for their cost with Half MP on.

Quenzacotl wasn't my favorite by a long shot, but I didn't hate it. I didn't like Pandemona that much even though it was technically super powerful attack wise. It looked like a mutant and the way it sucked enemies (sometimes enemies larger than itself) into itself was oddly off putting and just looks dumb.

My favorite is still Alexander. It's a giant machine knight that rises from the sea, shoots missiles of light from compartments inside cannons mounted on it's shoulders. That's fucking awesome.
