this week I got these games plus two super nintendos and one nes and like seven controllers for 150. I'm pretty stoked. I'll post more pictures if anyone is interested in looking.

pickups thread? have you gotten anything cool lately?

That's a really good deal. Did you rob some grandma at a garage sale or something?

nope it was someone my brother went to high school with and he's 35 so these were all her games from when she was a kid.

"she"

theres like 8 games in there that are just casino or game show games.

doubt.

Got a used N64 that came with a controller with one of those replacement gamecube style sticks that everyone says has sensitivity that's too high, surprise surprise, it works fine. Came with two throw-away sports titles, and a defective controller pak, after some bitching they've offered to send me another controller pak.

Also picked up an everdrive and spent the weekend completing Mario 64 and Diddy Kong Racing.

Also picked up a copy of pokemon silver and a transfer pak so I can use those with pokemon stadium. I really wish I didn't have to unlock those fast forward functions for the gameboy tower, because I just want to power level some pokemon to use in the N64 game.

>> No.4748641

I've gotten both NES Metal Gear games recently. My MG collection is almost complete, I'm only missing Peace Walker, and both MSX games, which I doubt i'll ever get.

You might try cleaning the contacts on that controller pak. I had one once that wouldn't work until I cleaned it.

>> No.4750191

>>4749026
Are you sure you aren't thinking of the transfer pak? I'll clean the contacts and see if anything changes. Best case scenario i'll have two functioning controller paks. Worst case scenario, the replacement is also shitty and I have to find a new one.

Only found this at the flea market last weekend. Mega Man didn't end up working even after buffing the disc, but it was only $2 so I decided to take the chance.

If you find Conker's for 10 bucks, that's a great deal
If you find a collection of shovelware and some consoles for 150, that's not a good deal
I doubt you'll even play half of these and having games you don't play just cluttering your shelves is just dumb. That's precious space you could be using for games you love and actually play often
Also 9 posts in a 16 post thread is a lot, my dude

Most of the boxes are far from mint. And Illusion Of Gaia has the map/enemy guide but no manual. I'm not complaining though. If have paid more than I did for just carts. Also, F-Zero X is a rental copy with security stickers, but since I only keep what I play, it's no loss.
Oh, and whoever owned these originally has 100% saves in all with battery saves. Must have been an awesome kid or a turbo autist.

Seems to have worked. I guess the seller didn't think to clean off his merch. Makes me wonder how it passed his "one time test" to begin with. I guess I'm getting two memory paks for the price of one.

>> No.4752403

Fucking nevermind I guess, all the data is gone. Good thing all I played was just a little bit of Snowboard Kids and Doom 64 but I did lose a lot of progress in Doom for playing on hard.

It's weird though because I didn't get a message saying my controller pak was corrupt this time, the data was just gone.

That depends on when he got it. If >>4751320
got that deal in the past few years then it would be an amazing deal. However, if he paid that much over 10 years ago, back when almost all /vr/ games were cheap then he might've even paid "too much".
That being said, I wouldn't mind buying such a collection for such a ridiculous low price but to be honest, even now most SNES games are still affordable if you make enough in a month and save around a quarter of it for nearly a year.
