Games you have replayed a million times. But will never get tired of them

>> No.4738028

Original Zelda, Super Mario Bros, and Sonic 1. Sometimes when I sit down and don't know what to play I have to fight myself not to default to one of these. I really need to branch out.

Beat this the other day, 14th playthrough. Just as fun as it was 10 and 15 years ago.

Couldn't say the same for TTYD.

For me it's pretty much all of the SNK fighting games. KOF 2001 stands out for me, even though everyone hated it, my friends and I at the time played the shit out of the Dreamcast port. Pretty much every SNK game that was ported to Dreamcast we would play for hours upon hours.

All of those friends either moved away or died or are otherwise gone, but I can still boot up Neo Geo games on MAME, especially KOF 2001, Mark of the Wolves, and Last Blade 2...and smile.

>Quest 64
my absolute barren nigga!

Games that never lose their magic include: Super Mario Bros 2, Mega Man X/X4/8, Threads of Fate, TMNT: TiT, Disney's Magical Quest series, Aladdin (snes), Monster In My Pocket, Adventures of Batman and Robin (snes), Pokemon Blue/Green, etc; honestly though, I don't think I hate a single game that I played and enjoy as a child. It could be the nostalgia talking, but either way I always have a good time playing old classics of my youth.

YEP! Although, the burns we had of the KOF games were self-booting, we did have legit imports of the Uncensored Last Blade 2 and Mark of the Wolves. We had KOF 98 - 2002 and loved 98, 2001, and 2002. 99 and 2000 just felt wonky as fuck, though we did play the PS1 version of 99 a bunch before getting the Dreamcast version.

What do you like about Quest 64? I've never played it.

>> No.4745490

>>4745468
Awe-inspiring atmospheres, beautiful graphics, moving music, action-RPG gameplay, unique experience system, difficult, unique Celtic theme, uniqueness in general. It's true that the Japanese version is the apparent "unrushed" version, but the US version has all of the above magic intact.

Apparently though, a lot of faggots who nonsensically think it was competing with FF7 at its release have come out of the woodwork in the past decade or so and daily spit on it and have ruined its reputation.

I found the story gripping and mystical, too, but a lot of people think its "simplistic".
