Sweet poster. I'm into the thread too. Sweet home and the original Clock Tower are pretty good. There are lots of truly horrifying VNs, too. Some of which are on old consoles. There's quite a few non-VN scary games on retro computers too.

i know that movie licensed game are a thing of the past, but when you got a horror movie game adaptation, you were pretty much gona get a really weird and flawed survival horror.

sleavy grindhouse horror isn't a significant element in the mainstream anymore. A lot of folks don't relate strongly to it. Or at least the ones that do aren't movers in the game sphere.

I'm sure theres some obscure indie games out there that use it as influence. But anything with a wide release is going to aim for a higher brow or at least higher polish ascetic.

The story is also very weird. It reminds me a lot of Devilman.

Oh SNAP, they didn't show those stab wounds in the actual game. Always wondered how exactly she died, since all you see is her dangling from the shower head.

Come to think of it, how/why the restraint anyway? Obviously it wasn't necessary to take out Anne, and like if the scissorman was fast/strong enough to bind her to the showerhead why didn't he just kill her outright, this has been bugging me for a long time now.
