Why the fuck do you people get triggered by people who play on authentic consoles, on CRTs, or on games they actually paid for?

Why do you get triggered when people keep the games they enjoy, and in the same breath, say that emulation is better?

Why the fuck do you care?

I thought it was the opposite. Playing on anything over than some Sony /vr/ meme monitor seems to generate scorn here

Look at any thread about resellers, and you'll see people crying about "collectors" who "should just emulate"

>Why the fuck do you care?

No one does, we're all just a bunch of fucking trolls. We get off on triggering you and snowflakes like you.

Often times trolling someone leads them to finally open up about why they feel a certain way, why a game is good, etc. Why do you think so many threads trash talk a game or say it wasn't any good. Hint: it's so people jump on and defend the game, leading to meaningful discussion. Don't let the secret out though anon, other anons think it's a clever use of psychology and only they understand how/why it works.

emulation is great way to enjoy games that collectors wish they could enjoy their own games.
But they're terrible people who have egos which compel them to post pictres of their stupid plastic crap in glass cases for nobody to care about.

You do realize that just by personalizing how the culture works here doesn't mean it's how I personally interact with others? This was said in the persona of the average 4chan troll.

I try to help when I can but I'll admit, sometimes it's too much fun to bust someone's balls with the illusion of anonymity, especially when they ask dumb shit that a simple google search would answer.

In the same way you can compare fans of Sonic.
Most people of taste just enjoy 1, CD, 2, 3&K, Mania, and maybe even 3D Blast. They just enjoy the charming classic aesthetics, music and gameplay.
But then you get the utterly cringey neckbeard faggots who have fanboy-ism for modern Sonic, that wear spiny blue hats and jerk off to furry porn.

Most people cannot recognise any input delay or don't care about CRTs or anything like that. They just like playing classic games and being able to
emulate and have hundreds of quality, beloved games on a single gadget is incredible. The most important thing here is fun and accessibility.

But people like you? No, if it's not played on a CRT, on original hardware, on an original cart that came from a mint condition box it's not "the true experience."
You don't really give a shit about playing the games. You just want to show off you massive fucking edgelord niche ego. Nobody cares.
You are the modern Sonic of retro gaming.

If you like collecting, collect. If you like emulating, emulate. Personally, I almost never finish a game when emulating, and I really enjoy the experience of playing the original console and cartridge, so unless the game is extremely expensive, I collect. My friend just plays everything on his hacked Wii. He has more money to spend on modern games because of it, and I rarely buy anything modern so I don't mind spending my money on old stuff. Debating the pros and cons is fine, but in the end it hardly matters, especially since this has become such a stale argument.

A few years back, I bought a CRT, PS1, and basically every RPG worth a shit on the console that I never played. I didn't leave my house for like a week and legit experienced life as if it was still the mid-late 90s. You can't get that with an emulator.
