4716359 No.4716359 [Reply] [Original]

I found this game lurking in one of my DVDs (it was in a snes emulator for ps2), decided to play it and is really fun and cozy.
Anyone here played it too?

>> No.4716363

Of course, it's a classic platformer series and possibly the best platformer series known to man. perfect physics. Also Kawase is cute.

>> No.4716393

I've beaten the SNES game, it would be perfect if it weren't for the shitty bosses. I've played the PS1 version, but I disliked it, and never finished it.

Yes, the original SNES game is one of the best games ever made, but the rest of the series either fucked up with the graphics and physics (Sayonara Umihara Kawase) or with the art direction and level designs (Umihara Kawase Shun). Sayonara is still worth playing because of the music and the well designed levels, but I can't stand Shun.

I play it on my phone all the time. Touch controls are surprisingly good.

I liked the 3ds game (which for. some reason got renamed as Yumi's odd odyssey), never played the Playstation one, but there's a DS version of that one that also has the snes game.

I thought she was an adult? I know she's an adult in the second two games, but wasn't she still an apprentice sushi chef in the first game's story?

she's 19 and has always had big titties. In Sayonara you can play as a kid version if you want the game to be a little easier.

I knew she always had big titties, I just couldn't remember if she was a little younger in the first game.

In the SNES game she's underage, you idiots.

You're posting art of her from Sayonara where she grew up.

snes version is fun. good intro to the series.

I think what gives it appeal is the timed aspect. Seems like broadcasted runs of other games are more or less moot unless its a speedrun. This game had that vibe from the start - affecting your outcome based on your time. But also opposite where you can explore more levels with slower times and going through different doors..... very strange game that was clearly ahead of its time

Not much, it's only going for 60 now. It's not like Sutte Hakkun which is going for around 500 dollars. That is the true rare platforming gem.

Not much info on this game so I thought I'd ask here.
I just finished a run and went straight from F46 to F57, but in the video, it shows that the door from F46 goes to F47. I might have gone over 30 min. but all the places I've looked say that would take you to F28. Now I'm confused as to what happened.

the best way to play it is on the steam version. every time you reach a level, you can train on it as much as you want in the training section. it's a much better system than saving the game because you still have to do it in one go. also it doesn't lag like on the SNES

Update:
I can now reach stage 15.
The tadpole boss took me awhile to figure out.

>>4723061
I don't have a PC running Windows and would prefer to emulate. I haven't noticed any lag yet on the SNES version.

Any other good, maybe obscure games starring a short-haired tomboy as a playable character?
