I've never minded dynamic lights either to be honest.

I think its how you and I look at DooM, I look at it now (at least mods and wads) as a means of delivering a shooter experience (generally though trying to steer closer to doom territory) whilst others look at it as everything needing to stay as Doom.
I always like to try new shooter experiences using the doom engine, I think it's why I dont mind maps that use Zdoom features or custom monsters/textures/whatever.

I think we can agree to disagree though.

I can run graphically intense Doom wads without a hassle and I got my video card 4 years ago. GZDoom is optimized for Nvidia cards.

On WADs, some are set up in a style that is more OK with using advanced features. Aliens TC by deimos anomoly uses dynamic lighting ant it looks fucking great with it.

It depends on the artistic direction of the project and what the author is going for.

New version of Doomtra, here's most of the changes:
-Laser no longer splits when you move while shooting it
-Super Spread Gun now has a different behavior, it shoots faster initially but fades out quickly after that
-R Super Spread Gun increases the range of the gun dramatically and the damage slightly
-Machine Gun damage was nerfed
-R Rifle damage was nerfed
-Flame Shot direct hit damage was buffed, the max damage it can do on a direct hit is now 99 (Might be too strong?)
-R Flame Shot direct hit damage was buffed in line with the Flame Shot, and the explosion radius was nerfed
-Obituaries now work properly
-The death sound plays immediately when dying
-Some spiffy new barrel graphics made by Impse

you might try looking for "Doom Music" 1997; On May 1, 1997 Robert Prince released Doom Music, an album with various remixed versions of a selection of music tracks from Doom and Doom II. The CD contain 20 tracks with a running time of 71 minutes 28 seconds. According to the text on the back, the tracks are arranged to fit for playing with Quake.
The remixed version of "At Doom's Gate" contains various sounds from Doom, i.e. weapon sounds, monsters roaring and death sounds.
It's not on wcd though.

There's also a Final Doom Playstation soundtrack, Doom Playstation soundtrack, and a Doom 64 soundtrack if you're interested in those.
