Which one is better for emulators? PSP or phones? Are there any "good" gba/nes/genesis/snes/n64/ps1/ds phone emulators that support ds4 controllers?

download dosbox on your phone and play master of magic with the unofficial 1.5 patch. Best game ever.

I have a few modded psp's. It depends what you're looking for. But most of my nastolgia needs were fulfilled with it personally. Anything earlier than the n64 runs perfectly and you can take ps1 roms and convert them right over so they don't need an emulator. I like my psp go the best, just for the fact that it feels more like a gameboy to me than any other psp.

Its hard to beat the price : performance ratios of the Psp, Wii or ten year old PCs as emulation devices

psp is pretty great, i got mine for free and after getting 128 gb of space i have almost every system library (psp ps1 genesis etc). you can do tons of stuff with it, connect it to your tv stuff like that. i couldnt recommend it more, 10/10 system for retro emulation.

Is there any PSP emulator that runs SNES gamed well now? That was always it's biggest downside for me.

The latest Snes9xTYLmeMod
People berate SNES emulation on PSP a lot and justifiedly but they make it seem worst than it really is. Unless you want to play Chip SA1 or FX games you'll be fine.

I don't like the idea of having to try to hold a phone and a controller or trying to set the phone up at an angle while I play. If I were going the portable route I'd much prefer a dedicated system with its own physical buttons. I recommend the New 2DS but the PSP is probably cheaper
