The internet archive just released a bunch of in-browser emulators for old LCD handheld games. https://archive.org/details/handheldhistory

Is there no way to download these? My internet is shitty and it'd be nice to be able to run them locally, and also archive them for when they're inevitably taken down.

There is not no way to download these. If you don't already have all these archived it's silly for you to be talking about doing it now.

What a colossally stupid thing to say.

Will we finally figure out what the Doug button does?

i'm pretty pissed off that archive.org is doing this. I have spent thousands of dollars collecting and modding these devices and now you can just get them for free?
Sometimes I can't browse vr. It makes me too angry to see things like this.
It's like that guy who would post gore of him tearing the labels off carts to reveal a fuzzy paper texture he would smear all over his stubble.
You people make me sick.

The colossally stupid thing to say is that you want to "archive" shit from a play online page when it been available for years from many places in easy to download formats. You may think it makes you sound like some great noble preserver of history when you pretend you're "archiving" things but it really just outs you as an underage douche.
To think a thread of infinitely more value than this, like a waifu or console war shitfest, died because some fucktard doesn't know how to download mame roms.

I obviously meant archival for personal use. How drunk are you?

how much of a faggot can you possibly be?
>waaaah i don't want other people to enjoy what i have

besides they are simulations, so the gameplay isn't even 100% accurate

I'm probably one of the few who really appreciate these machines.
Stereo sound and tweened animations are some of the things us tigerboys do to enhance the experience.

You mean on the original hardware? Do you do that yourself or do you send them out to someone to do it? I've never heard of this before.

Enthusiasts do crazy things. It wouldn't be the first questionable stereo mod I've heard of (NES for example)

This doesn't let you download the actual device champ. It let's you play the ROM in MAME in your browser. You've been able to download MAME and the ROMs and play them for years anyway. Nothing to get your knickers in a twist over. If anything making it all easy enough to use that even iPad babies can enjoy them only drives up interest in them and drives up the value of your collection. If it really catches on shitty tiger shit will be all the rage just like Game & Watch was a few years back and prices will skyrocket accordingly. You should be happy about this, not angry.

>>4706048
The only thing that's obvious is that you're a tard who wants to download readily available ROMs from some play online page. At that point it's only safe to assume anything you say is meant in the most retarded way possible.

Not really. These were added very recently, practically all within the last year.

Look for a MAME set update on ROM Shepherd. They should all be in there if the ones on that site don't work (don't feel like checking). ROM sites are generally lazy and haven't updated to the 0.196 pack, so they won't be on there.
