Disruptor. I played it. Nice game it is. Lacks sexappeal, so never cared deeply about it

Why would you play this garbage when you could play something like Quake 2? Talk about a janky, ugly piece of shit. Even the weapons look like ass.

>spending time playing videogames at all
Why not do something of actual value before succumbing to the void?

>> No.4691029

>>4691024
Because you can do something of actual value while also enjoying recreational activities, and failure to engage in said recreational activities will most likely drive you insane or negatively impact your potential to do said things of "actual value". So, shouldn't you then spend your time playing games of actual value?

We're waxing philosophical here, though. The reality is that you just don't like being told your favorite childhood game is a piece of shit.

>> No.4691048

>>4691029
I'm not the guy you were arguing with, I was just shitposting about how playing videogames is a waste of time in the grand scheme of things
I can understand your point about engaging in recreational activities to alleviate your stress so that you can focus on doing more important things. But at the same time, how many people that play videogames are the kind of people whose jobs consist of saving lives or creating things that improve quality of life or cure diseases, etc?
And mobile games don't count, obvs

>> No.4691058

>>4691048
How many people who drive cars have jobs consisting of saving lives or creating things? Compared to the number of people who drive in general, the number is very small. You can diminish anything and make it seem like a metric for failure, but that doesn't matter. If you want to spend your life helping the world, you can do that, and recreational activities will provide some relief for the worries associated with doing so. Likewise, if you are content working at McDonald's for the rest of your life, and you also enjoy playing video games, that's your choice. The point is, nothing is a "waste" unless you let it become one, and whether or not someone engages in a particular recreational activity is not a good way to measure life successes.

>> No.4691074

>>4691058
Eh, fair enough
Although I would consider driving a car more as a necessity than a recreational activity these days
Public transportation just doesn't cut it for certain lines of work

They are notoriously horrible on PS1 Quake 2

Imo Quake 2 plays weird with analog. No odea about mouse controls.

Doom is good because of configurable controls. Does Disruptor have this?

If you don't like the dual analog controls, move with dpad, aim with right stick, shoot with L1, jump with L2, switch weapons with R1/2. Nothing wrong with that.

When did I say that? Quite the contrary. Lots of inferior things exist. It's your choice whether or not to interact with them. Personally, I don't see the point of wasting my time playing shovelware when I could be playing good games, but hey, to each their own. I guess you just like rolling in shit.
