Sell me on Super Metroid

I just finished playing Fusion and I enjoyed it overall. But I thought the tile hunting was a bit much. At first it felt neat, like you've done something you shouldn't and escaped the boundaries of the game, but when it became routine it felt like an interference to the action.
Also, the upgrades weren't as fun or interesting as in other metroidvania games I've played. The speed booster being an exception.

However, I keep hearing that Super is better. What exactly does it do that Fusion doesn't?
