Fixed it. A line in the TEXTMAP was corrupt [NaN or something] and forcing GZDoom to rebuild nodes worked.

You can kill a cyberdemon with the chaingun without even reloading once. Stunlocks the bastard pretty well, too. The rocket launcher does tons of damage, too. Shotgun's nice once you remember that you have to pump manually, and the rifle isn't particularly bad. The only weapon I haven't figured out is the plasma rifle.

For those that have played the one-hit cowboy six-shooter mod, a question:

Do you think having the shotgun as a second gun pickup in DM levels (probably positioned about how BFGs are usually--in an open, hard to get to or otherwise 'dangerous' place) would break the game if it's only advantage was it's increased spread size? It would probably also make sense to have it be limited to the ammo in it when picked up or else make ammo very very scarce.

Both the pistols and the shotgun would still be one-hit, but it might add some variety to the gameplay.

Also while the SSG would fit the theme I think it's spread coupled with the one-hit would just be gamebreaking.

So I got this idea for a website: The Fastest Games Alive. It'll basically be speedruns but there's only 1 rule: no cheats. You can use whatever scripts and glitches you want. Also the levels don't really have to be done sequentially. Say in Douk ThreeDee, the first level can be done faster on the higher difficulties because you can jump on a pig cop to get to the exit faster. Then if it's faster to do the next level in a different difficulty, that's within the rules. The point would just to see how 2fast these games can theoretically be done. If the game is 3slow5me (like RPG's), then it won't be accepted.

I was thinking something like it's located on top of the wagon in the middle of the map and takes a bit to get up there, leaving you vulnerable to getting shot by everyone on your way up. And it isn't located on every level. And only has six or maybe 4 shots in the gun.

When we were playing on that quake-style map with 8 people and you had to look for a short while (maybe 30 seconds) for someone is the pacing I'd like to recreate with the DM maps.

Good lord Fire and Ice. I am glad I could cheese that map with only the yellow key. I had like another 200 or so monsters left, but when I lowered the yellow door I kept running into it then suddenly I was just walking over it and got to the end.

I didn't expect that. Fuck the blue key card I am not getting that.

cc4-tex.wad has a few extra rock textures. They tend to look like id made them.

But I don't see why you don't like those textures. The beams stand out more than the walls do.
