I didn't say I had any issue with Nintendo. I love Nintendo. But these games by Rare (Conkers, both Banjo games) are given way more credit than they deserve. They're mediocre at their best at true shit at their worst. Nostalgia blinded tards and eceleb following faggots are the only reason these games are regarded as 'classics'.

Really most of the N64 library has aged horribly, in my opinion. Mario 64 and the AKI wrestling games are really the only things worth a fuck today. Paper Mario too I suppose.

You're entitled to your opinion, but pretending that people only like games like Banjo because of nostalgia and e-celebs is laughable. You could apply that same logic to every single retro game ever made. More often than not, the popularity of such games persist not only because of nostalgia, but because people enjoy them.

You say that a game like Banjo is "overrated crap" and "fucking trash enjoyed by garbage people". Let's examine that for a moment. What makes these games "trash"? In the case of Banjo, you have a game with stellar music, stellar graphics, humorous and memorable dialogue, plenty of content, an adequate control scheme, etc. You might say you aren't a fan of X or Y aspects of the game, but from a purely objective standpoint, the game has all the makings of a great experience. You might hate the music for example, but any reasonable person could at least admit that it is well-produced and orchestrated. There is nothing inherently bad about the game, your only reason for calling it "trash" is that it simply isn't what you want it to be.

Personally, I don't like Spyro. I think it's boring as fuck. However, I still recognize that it's a well-made game. Even though I wouldn't bother playing it, I can still see why someone might enjoy it and wouldn't dare call it "trash". Negative terms like this are thrown around so much that they've become a better metric of whether or not someone is an angry, ignorant contrarian rather than demonstrating that a game has actual flaws.

Frankly, I can see why you might not enjoy Banjo. It's not a game like Crash Bandicoot where there's a ton of action. It's a game about exploring big, colorful worlds, interacting with funny characters, engaging in various minigames and searching for treasures. If you don't like that kind of gameplay, suit yourself, but don't act like it's a shitty game.

IRL hip people love old Nintendo games. I was at a party last month and there was a Famiclone from the 90s with Lunar Ball, lots of young boys and girls around the TV (a CRT).
Admittedly, some of the traits of a retro game collector (something that isn't new at all), have made its way into popular culture and in turn, adopted by younger people. Playing on CRT on real hardware is a thing, many people like the experience, so they invest on it. It's not like it's that expensive anyway.
