I played Slender at night alone in a big empty house with headphones and all the lights out, it spooked me on a primal level, tapped into a fear horror games never reach.
I played Earthbound when I was going through a very rough time in life and the 4th-wall shattering moments, sequence of events that happen during the final boss fight, and credit sequence really made me feel... something hard to put my finger on. It went deep.

I don't think it would ever get one, I don't think it was a financial success even when it was released. Maybe Capcom doesn't have faith in the title enough to merit a remaster (same deal with Viewtiful Joe). Sadly not retro
