And most of them come from China? WTF.

Are they Repro/Fake/Pirate carts?

I don't trust these sellers to buy cartridges... where can I find trustable sellers?

Not even once. If your shipment doesn't take forever then there's the very real threat of you opening the box and finding a stack of cards. I'd just do the usual garage sale and goodwill hunts if I were an American. You guys have it good.

I'm not american.

This game price is crazy. What happened to Retro Games market?

It seems like it's full of scalpers and resellers. wth. Is it a thing now?

This game totally doesn't worth 200 dollars plus. And 70 dollars for a Chinese probably Repro cartridge. wth is happening.

>$70 for repro

you can literally buy it from aliexpress (with save function) for less than $10 including ship.

Everywhere I go this game is overpriced. But I'm not buying a repro. Sadly the Retro Market is crazy.

if you just want the cartridge/crt experience (especially for super expensive games) repros are a really good choice. if you're just collecting, well, good luck.

>> No.4642570

If that's the case I prefer to use emulators or a flash cart.

collectors ruin everything

I thought the same thing when I bought a Minish Cap repro off Etsy. After the 4th dungeon, my save disappeared. Repros, not even once.

Original SNES carts are pricey and repros are prevalent. Consider a flashcart or emulation

I don't know what imaginary burgerland you're envisioning but the chances of finding an old game you actually want at a garage sale is next to zero. Maaaaybe a copy of a genesis football game but even that is a small miracle.

I still have this game, sans box, sitting in storage. I'll never play it again, and when I die it will be thrown out. I don't even know the going price.

I'll give you $100 for it if you can find it.
You could sell it for a ton more, but I'm a poorfag- although the difference is I'd actually play it.

>> No.4643832

Find American sellers, don't touch listings without pictures posted, examine well the pictures that are posted. Unless they're Chinese or Russian sellers, almost all listings will include "Repro" somewhere in the title.

Repro means fake you retard. OP would pay 10$ for a reproduction of the original cart that costs significantly less than the original

>> No.4644796

Never, under any circumstance, buy from anyone in China.
If you're trying to find 'trustable' sellers, I'd suggest going to a retro/gaming store in your area if you have one. It's good to build a relationship with owners and it's harder to get fakes at such places. If you don't have one, go to the closest retro convention.

Repro = reproduction that's clearly sold as such, with no intention to deceive
Fake / counterfeit = reproduction that's passed off as original

There are enough inexperienced buyers out there that you could probably make a decent profit simply flipping Aliexpress repros on eBay, without even having to lie or anything, just straight up calling them repros.
