All the Abe Odyssey games are going to be remastered to HD, with the first remaster coming late 2013:

I just ordered Abe's Odyssey again like an hour ago because of this thread. Black label too because that's important.

I hate shitty platinum collection games now thanks to /vr/.

Wish I could find a good condition copy of Oddyssey where I live; there's a substantial prevalence of Abe's Exodus locally, but barely any copies of it's predecessor.

So what exactly are the Oddworld games? Its funny that this thread was brought up, because i recently have been interested in them. Are they like platformers, adventures?

Can't you just order it?

Interesting and well designed games with an emphasis on the main character NOT having any abilities beyond chanting and the ability to possess enemies, along with saving people. The games are very atmospheric and can be REALLY fucking hard; secrets and hidden things everywhere.

Never played Exodus but for the most part the later games are different in every way. Odyssey was like a stealth puzzle platformer.

I suppose so, but the used game store near my college generally has better prices for Playstation games at times (actually, they generally have just as good prices as Amazon, if not better). How much did yours cost you.

Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus are platformers where you have to guide enslaved mudokuns to safety. Stranger's Wrath is a FPS.

Munch's Oddysee is the untold tragedy of the original Xbox.

They had huge plans that got scrapped when Microsoft acquired the company and wanted a launch/near-launch title release.

As it stands Munch is still a pretty okay game in a vacuum, but a step down from the previous (and future) Oddworld games.
