Here is a list of games that I have loaded onto my snes classic:

Actraiser
Actraiser 2
Axelay
Brawl Brothers
Captain Commando
Castlevania - Dracula X
Chrono Trigger
Dragon View
E.V.O. - Search for Eden
Earth Defense Force
Final Fantasy - Mystic Quest
Final Fantasy II
Final Fight Guy
Ghoul Patrol
King of the Monsters
King of the Monsters 2
Knights of the Round
Lufia & The Fortress of Doom
Lufia II - Rise of the Sinistrals
Magic Sword
Mega Man 7
Mega Man X 2
Mega Man X 3
Metal Warriors
Musya
Operation Logic Bomb
Pocky & Rocky
Pocky & Rocky 2
Rival Turf
Super Bomberman
Super Bomberman 2
The King of Dragons
Legend of the Mystical Ninja
The Peace Keepers
Thunder Spirits
TMNT IV - Turtles in Time
U.N. Squadron
Wild Guns
Zombies Ate My Neighbors

They all run pretty much perfectly, although maybe one or two have slight audio issues.

The one game I did try that would not run at all was Illusion of Gaia.

Any suggestions for games I should add?

>> No.4596509

I didn't load obvious games like Demon's Crest or Super Mario All Stars, since I can't find those roms anywhere.
I'm not requesting roms, just ideas for games.
Are games like Brain Lord and Spike McFang worth playing?

>> No.4596517

>>4596482
Do they really run that well? I kinda want to hack mine but I'm an OCD person and the thought of modifying my consoles makes me cringe. Check out Ninja Gaiden Trilogy and maybe the SFC Fire Emblem games.

>> No.4596520

>>4596517
Honestly, I haven't had to tweek anything.
They are all playable, aside from some minor audio issues.
I'm surprised how well most games play.

Also thnx for the suggestions.

>> No.4596526

Also, hacking the system is super easy.
I followed a tutorial for my first time.
Also, it can be easily reverted back if you want.

It can only handle N64.

>>4596482
>Earth Defense Force
>Final Fantasy - Mystic Quest
>Pocky & Rocky 2
All three are trash. Get real shmups like Super Aleste and Sonic Wings, and real rpgs like Lennus 2 and Rudra no Hihou. Both translations here https://www.romhacking.net/translations/1332/ https://www.romhacking.net/translations/669/
P&R is good, but Smash TV is also good.

You need retroarch to run IoG, which it should have told you when you added it. Then you can run more than just snes games, but good luck getting mame to work with anything.

>> No.4596752

I think that's a pretty good list and U.N. Squadron is surprisingly good for a snes shmup

It's an arcade port with way better sound quality but dumb convoy grinding added in to spite us.

also, be realistic, you can fit like 100+ snes games on that, put in some trash games too

>> No.4596786

>>4596517
For anything the built-in SNES emulator can't handle, you can use retroarch.
I'd imagine there's very few games that wouldn't work on that, but im not certain

>> No.4596795

You only get 150 megs unless you use the experimental hack, and even then clover's save states are 2 megs a piece. Some games don't work compressed, either.

Add Earthbound, Demon's Crest, and Super Metroid.

If you need extra room, Mega Man 7, Lufia & The Fortress of Doom, and Actraiser 2 are nowhere near as good as the other games in their series.

Not Op but I modded mine with some arcade games using Retroarch and an FBA core. Runs most Taito games, Sunset Riders and all of the Double Dragons.

That being said I set out only to have TMNT, X-Men and WWF Wrestlefest and I can't find a core that is compatible. So it is hit and miss for sure

Uncharted Waters 2: New Horizons

Incredibly in depth Sailing/Pirating/Trading game with multiple characters, ships, ports, recruitable npcs, weapons, an advanced economic/trade system.

I cannot recommend it enough. I very rarely see it mentioned but it's fucking awesome.

OP update.

Thanks for the great suggestions.

I managed to find the roms I was missing.

I have tested
Demon's Crest
Donkey Kong Country 2&3
Final Fight 1, 2&3
Super Mario All Stars
Tetris & DrMario
Tetris 2
Tetris Attack
The Combatribes

They all ran perfectly, and so I'm thinking the emulator the snes classic uses is pretty good, not the best, but really good.
The compatibility rate seems to be very high.

Sailor Moon

Well the funny thing is that most of the included snes classic games are available in the 3ds eshop.
In fact the eshop has some games that the snes classic is missing, like Pilotwings.
