They were half tech-demos and the impressive factor is no longer there. Though I do miss futuristic vehicle-in-city games like G-police and such, they felt like the continuation (and end-point) of this sub-genre.

which is pretty much the PC version of the original game, just better maintained and with a brand new level (if it was now included in the pack, I back then had to download it individually). That it is still maintained makes me happy as I love this game.

I haven't played it too much I liked the multiplayer on 64 with my friends and I made it as far as the first checkpoint on the single player. That god damn music is god tier though holy shit is the music ever fucking great in that game

there were a fuckload of these types of games for a small period of time, i think people just got sick of them like with many other types of games or new games came out that overshadowed the current ones
