Sorry to barge in on all the Yoshi's Island threads, but I had a question about an old computer game that I can't remember the name of.

It's a black and white fantasy game, with an interesting minimalist style. The view is straight on like a "fourth wall" camera with various warriors in the foreground and mountains and landscape in the background. The graphics are CGA or may be early EGA era, but monochrome. I have no idea what the gameplay was like; my main memory is of the side on view with the mountains in the background and the interesting B&W art style.

Hopefully this worthless description will spark a memory for someone.

Perspective is right but it was a black and white game.

Ah, thought maybe you didn't remember it correctly. Anyway, it sounds like Dark Castle.

Found it, it was Lords of Midnight. The 1984 original does not hold up the way I remember it, but (I hate to say this on /vr/) the iOS version actually preserves the art style in a neat way.

Amazing game. Sequel isn't bad either. I would say it's my favourite LotR video game adaptation even without the license.
