TOP (If most / all of the levels were like this, this game would've been pretty fucking amazing)
1. Tree Tops
2. Haunted Castle

HIGH (Quite above average levels)
3. Wizard Peak
4. Misty Bog
5. Lofty Castle
6. High Caves
7. Ice Cavern
8. Dry Cannon

MID (Average to slightly above average levels for this game)
9. Alpine Ridge
10. Twilight Harbour
11. Dark Passage
12. Dry Cannon
13. Gnorc Cove
14. Terrace Village
15. Gnasty's Loot

LOW (Slightly to moderately below average levels)
16. Jacques
17. Metalhead
18. Gnasty Gnorc
19. Blowhard
20. Magic Crafters
21. Dream Weavers
22 .Town Square
23. Dr. Shemp
24. Toasty
25. Peace Makers
26. Beast Makers
27. Dark Hollow
28. Stone Hill
29. Artisans

BOTTOM ("The game is being rushed" tier)
30. Gnasty's World

So, overall, the game starts out a bit boring to ease very low skilled players, then gets better in the second world and peaks at worlds 3-5. Too bad the last world was rushed and a step down as a result.

For number 12 I meant Cliff Town, sorry.

>> No.4583697

Presumably they realised going forward that they bit off a bit more than they could chew, as 2 & 3 didn't have anywhere near the same number of worlds.

What's so amazing about Haunted Castle?

>> No.4583704

there are 30 levels? what the fuck

>> No.4583705

They replaced levels with mini games, I guess.
>>4583702
I like the way it makes you 100% the level, it's similar to Tree Tops in that regard but to a lesser degree.

35 if you count the flight levels, yes. However, I'm counting the hub worlds, boss levels and the like.
For pure levels there are only 18 (3+3+3+3+3+3).

Spyro games are boring and easy.

Go play Banjo if you want an actually good 3D sandbox platformer.

Make a Banjo thread or post in one. I'm not disagreeing with you or anything, just don't come to a thread about something you dislike just to shitpost. Thank you.

>> No.4583798

why not rank the flights?

>> No.4583806

I know right they should of just made 9 good ones like enter the dragonfly 30 makes me fall asleep just thinking about it

Shitposts aren't "opinions you don't like", retard.

They are the closest thing to the mini games in the sequels. They play very differently so it's hard for me to compare them to the main gameplay.

>> No.4583821

>>4583818
rank them against each other then. for me I like wild flight the best

>> No.4583830

>>4583821
I'd have to replay the game then, those levels weren't as memorable to me, even if they were fun. I would't know how to rank them right now, sorry; they all seemed pretty equally fun from what I remember.

>Banjo
>not boring and easy
Shit's slow as fuck and is overrun with boring filler minigames that kill your momentum. It's everything wrong with Spyro 2 and 3 without movement mechanics that are actually fun.

Please, don't bite.

OP again. In conclusion, I'd say:

TOP
1. Beast Makers World
2. Dream Weavers World
3. Magic Crafters World

HIGH
4. Peace Keepers World

MID
5. Gnasty's World (The World)

LOW/BOTTOM
6. Artisans World

I think some of the complaints the game gets are from people that only played the early levels. Sure, it's not an amazing game, but the mid/late worlds are quite cool; Tree Tops in particular is among the best levels I've played in a 3D game, and as I said, if the rest was more akin to that Spyro could have been more of a classic.

Yeah, makes sense.

My first memory of Spyro is a watching a nephew play Dark Hollow. I still think Dark Hollow looks cool, but it's short and straightforward

>> No.4586257

>>4586254
Dark Hollow is my fourth least liked level, second if you don't count hubs, so yeah. Those early levels just don't have much going on for them, they're pretty much a tutorial phase for the game without the forced texts you'd see in later games.
