How much should I pay for a super famciom? Controller + console.

>> No.457727

>>457717
How much does an Xbox 360 for PC controller cost? That's how much, if you download Zsnes. You get the entire game library free too!

You should just take out the tabs on your SNES.

Far easier and far cheaper, unless you're getting it specifically for the looks factor.

Wtf is going on, if I want to waste my money on videogames I'll do. If i want to download games, I'll do too.

I want to get the console because I like it.

And you have input lag when you try to plug a snes controller to the pc :^)

resolution
save states (for old games with no save feature but are unfairly hard)
portability
choose your own controller
choose your own button layouts
choose control methods that wouldn't have been possible (mouse and joystick for example)
some games won't lag because they were too much for their original console to handle
romhacks
texture packs
no limitation on save data space
works with pal/ntsc
can actually play games where carts cost $500+ (in your case, lookup super mario RPG)
no way it will fail due to video hardware incompatibility
no need to buy video adapters/converters

Actualy, I like to pick up my console and go to my friend's house and play videogames.

Why in the hell would you choose another controller, when snes is the best controller ever made? Emulating with that controller has input lag, as I said.

And if I want to play 500$ games, I'll emulate those, it's veary easy.

Install Higan or older version (BSNES)

Or plugin a Wii controller though BT.

I actually like the DS3's dpad LESS then the 360's dpad.

I know is an unpopular opinion, but I find it rather annoying to use the DS3's, doing diagonal presses is a pain in the ass.

My only regret is having sold my consoles when I was like 14, couldn't get a job at the time. I think I sold my snes and the entire collection of games (20+) for $60.

I regret it because if I had saved it, I could make bigbukz by selling it to these hipsters

You can also run bsnes through retroarch, though there's a (very slight) dip in accuracy if you do so because the timer doesn't get calibrated properly.

>ITT: Elitists being elitists

Yeah, cool, we get it, original hardware and stuff. Here's the thing. It's hard for most people to justify spending hundreds of dollars on old hardware and games that are nearing the end of their shelf life.

I mean if you want to use original hardware and a CRT, good on you. But don't act like the second best option is complete shit by comparison. If anything we should be unified against clone consoles that blatantly fail to play games as well as emulation does on a decent computer.

>> No.459913

>>459661
In fairness, the original hardware elitism in this thread is all in response to the retard who decided to shit up the thread with his zsnes nonsense.
