Some n64 roms are little endian and some are big endian.

The patch will only work with one kind, and not the other. I don't remember which kind the DDG64 patch wants, but I also failed to apply the patch because I couldn't find a download of DDG64 with the right endianness, and I didn't know how to convert it myself.

Consistency with other roms won't help if the patch is meant for the other endianness. It doesn't really matter if your roms are consistent anyway, since emulators can usually handle both.

I can confirm the Densha de Go 64 in the no-intro set didn't work, with N64 you're always at the mercy of whoever made the patch - for a couple of the roms on my Everdrive I had to go out of my way to look for old scene releases just because that's what the old-ass anti-piracy patches available were built for. With Densha de Go as I recall the translator was one of those holier-than-thou buyfags that suggested dumping your own rom in the readme instead of providing any useful information.

Nah. It's just the case of different people using two different levels of brain function. Tard and non-tard. With the v64 you can byte swap back and forth as many times as you want. You can apply patchs before or after you byte swap so you can use any combination of ROM and patch. Ancient Chinese pirates wrote all the shit to do this in 6502 assembly. Today's kids can't manage to use GUI windows tools to achieve the same results. Pretty pathetic.

Genesis. Some fag made a mod that replaces human Joshua with troll samurai, elf decker and dwarf mage, which is stupid considering the racial disadvantage. He also switched up the guns and made them more in line with our modern guns as far as the names go, and switched up some out dated terminology, like PDA for example. Pretty fun, but just makes me wish for a sequel.
