Inexplicably, this is some of /vr/'s favorite of the classic Resident Evil era, but here's one of my major problems with it:

Why does Carlos know to go to the hospital (or why does the story funnel Carlos into the hospital), with no way of knowing the hospital would have a cure for the infection?

It's funny that if an office building or a warehouse were next door, they'd somehow have the cure for Jill. It's clear that the writers wrote themselves into a corner with infecting Jill as they had no proper way to resolve.

>RE1: There's killer dogs outside, let's figure a way to contact Brad or a different way to get out.
>RE2: I'm a cop you idiot lets go to the police station that'll be safe
>RE3: get infected ??? profit

Games sometimes need to override story points. I'm shocked no one mentions why use keys when irl you can kick doors down.

As I've said here, gens are pretty close together in pairs
1-2 Classic era (Primitive but fun games)
3-4 Golden era (The high point of games)
5-6 Silver era (A transitional period)
7-8 Modern era (Gayming)

For the record I don't mind 5th gen and Dreamcast being allowed here, it doesn't push aside the rest of the games I'm interested in, I can just ignore the threads I don't care about. Fortunately enough not the whole board is a 5th gen babby endlessly praising storyfag games like MGS or FFVII, as well as overpraising N64's 3D games such as OoT.

>Code Veronica = Originally RE3 project
>RE3 = originally a project known as RE1.9, which was just a side story, a spinoff game basically

Here we go again with the lies and false information.

Pic related, the last time RE:CV was ever even mentionned, made public, it was in September and Octobre 1998 to magasine and at Tokyo Game Show. It was ALREADY called "Biohazard: Cove Veronica", pic related. It was never supposed to be "RE3".

There is further proof of that with the fact that "RE3" was first supposed to be on PS2 (in the very first announcements very early on), while the whole reason why CV is even called what it is is so that they could have it on Dreamcast as Capcom had a deal with Sony for 3 main RE games.

You may find magazines that talk about CV calling it "RESIDENT EVIL 3" but that's the same shit as magazines talking abour "Duke Nukem 4" and "Silent Hill 5" when these titles have never existed. It sells better with that on the cover than a title nobody's heard of like "Homecoming", "Forever" or "Code Veronica".

That's where the confusion comes from, that and the fact that both games were developped at the same time.

Officially though, Code Veronica IS the spin off.

Then, bringing the "RE1.9" thing isn't fair. That was only an idea in Mikami's head and his alone, , to make RE3 an add-on for RE2 (not a spin off, an add-on) that nobody else wanted to hear of. You might as well talk shit about RE1 by bringing up all the shit ideas they had during development like making it a FPS or having Cyborgs.

Nice job at parroting memes.
RE4 is shit when it comes to writing. If it's an attempt at being campy, it failed as it doesn't feel campy like the classic ones. If it's meant to be taken seriously, it fails because of Saddler's retarded plan, Ada's entire character being changed and Krauser coming out of nowhere.

Did Nemesis know that Jill's objective was the cable car? Jill runs around the city for a bit and collects the items necessary to repair the cable car. After leaving the Umbrella office you have a brief encounter with Nemesis, but he disappears when you get back to the shops. Once you head through the gate to city hall and turn left, Nemesis reappears!!! In what appears to be an effort to stop you from getting to the cable car. What do you guys think? We know Nemesis has pretty good motor control (can aim a rocket launcher) but can he deduce Jill's objective from her actions around the city?
