Post the worst of the worst and why they have no redeeming qualities.

Batman Forever (SNES) is horrific, and even more disappointing considering how good Batman Returns was. Acclaim made this piece of shit with terrible Mortal Kombat controls, shitty maze levels, horrible music, loading times on a cart, it was a mess. Some friends and I rented this piece of shit and played it for less than an hour. There is nothing good about this game.

Everything for the Game.com. It was a handheld system where the main feature was that you could use a modem to take it online, but it didn't come with the modem, you had to buy it separately. All of the games were developed in-house by Tiger Electronics, including a port of Sonic and Knuckles. The screen was of such poor quality that the original Gameboy screen looked leagues better despite being released almost a decade earlier. Literally moving right for a quarter second in Sonic would make the entire screen unseeable for about two seconds.

I have a firm belief that this is the worst liscenced game ever made.

It's an adventure game in the vein of finding items to solve puzzles. But the graphics are such that you usually can't even see that an item is there. So like Link in Zelda 1 you have to go searching on every bit of the background, and every time you don't find anything (99.9% of the time) it pauses to load a voice clip of your character saying "I can't do anything!".

The kicker comes if you ever want to stop playing and save any of the progress you actually made. Better have extra memory cards around or not care about other games. One single save file of City of Lost Children requires an entire empty memory card.

The movie it's based on is well worth watching though.

Weirdly enough I had this game as a kid and enjoyed it. I think when you on't have a massive library of games. Even shit games are fun. I never beat it. But replayed it enough times. Even though it was weird having Mortal Kombat controls in a side-scroller. It never felt broken.

Absolutely correct. We had a game.com thread here a few weeks ago and GOOD LORD were the games awful. The Fighters Megamix game looked unplayable. The Resident Evil version is actually a full game but how anyone would play past the first level is beyond me. These games are unplayable on the original hardware due to the horrifically bad screen. Using an emulator helps, but not much.

how about the spiderman gameboy games. jeez talk about shitty. i only had a gameboy as a kid and would get basically one game per year at xmas. one year i got spiderman 2 and was so excited. it just fucking sucks ass, basically hobgoblin kills you right away and you give up in frustration. imagine trying to beat it for a whole year and beyond without any success

i actually just tried spiderman 2 again and i still cant beat the first stage, collecting all the items is easy enough but eventually you end up with two options, fight hobgoblin who i dont even think you can damage, or an electric fence that kills you. and your constantly taking hits from respawning enemies so inevitably youre going to die just wondering around looking for things

you know i once took spiderman 2, and only spiderman 2, on a 10 hour road trip to visit my aunt and uncle, it was all i did there and back was just try this first level over and over until the batteries died. and then what did i do? i asked for more batteries

Pretty much everything Tiger ever put out was garbage. The only games that are even close to playable on the game.com were games like Wheel of Fortune where it's just a static image. Even then the game gets it's ass kicked by the 1990 Game Boy version! It's impressive how awful Tiger was.

As for R&R Racing, I think the music selection was a boomer trap to make parents feels better about buying it for their kids. It was a meme game that just about every other kid my age liked and one of the most annoying sources of misplaced nostalgia I've seen. What bugged me was that annoying puzzle and riddle part in the monk temple. Then running down that hill sucked a lot as well. I would often fall over. I've solved it but still to this day I do NOT know what caused him to fall over when running.

HELL I already loved the beginning when you pick up the crates at the train to step on them and jump on them. How many GB games had that? That shit was new to me and I would shit bricks that you could put up an object and carry it around.

This game made me buy Tintin in Tibet the comic and got me into the entire Tintin series.

The music is great too and it has nice graphics and well drawn cut scenes.

I remember going to a game rental place and seeing this thing running on their PlayStation. One of the owners was trying hard to beat it for some incomprehensible reason. In retrospect, I am not sure if he was enjoying himself or just wanted to be done with it. What I know is that I was suckered in. I rented the game because it looked so unusual and I enjoyed adventure games on the PC. I put the CD in my PlayStation and in about 30 minutes I took it out thinking "Oh, it's one of those games you can't beat without a guide."

The up side is that it got me to see the movie some years later and the movie was great.
