My PC gamepad is finally starting to die out after nearly a decade of faithful use.

What controllers do you use for emulation play?

I replaced my x360 one with an xbone one, I don't miss that d-pad

Is it really that much better? My old x360 controller's dpad is already us already getting quite spongey.

>> No.4522356

>>4522319

I have understood that in general the d-pad of the 360 is bad, but the one that I have I can say for sure is the worst d-pad I touched in my life, maybe is faulty, I don't think so

>> No.4522363

Any good USB controller specifically for PS1 experience? I need the analog stick feel and the dual shock vibration for nostalgia immersion and also to stimulate my prostate occasionally.

I've been getting various styles of Innext 2 packs.
They run anywhere from $10-$20 for the set of 2, and they have rubbery start/select, they are not "clicky" buttons, and most of them have good d-pads and all of them are of good build quality.
There's all kinds of interesting variations on them too, from these hybrid nes/snes designed pads, to more traditional, in both classic and creative colors.

Shit, I mean you can find them most often at those prices and in abundance on Amazon. Here's another model I own.

Get the upcoming Hyperkin Duke: four shoulders and triggers and six face buttons. Covers every platform you'd ever need.

I use my arcade stick! It's neat. I mainly emulate arcade stuff but I have a wired 360 pad for times when its warranted.

Dualshock 4.

Don't listen to the fags suggesting Sony controllers, they all have terrible form and those shitty segmented D-pads.

I use a Wii U pro with the mayflash wireless adapter. The d pad is kind of small though so I'm considering the SS to usb adapter

>> No.4522871

The 360 controller would've been the best had it not been for the shitty d-pad. The Xbone controller fixes this. I use mine with no issues.

Holy shit. I've wanted a six face/four shoulder pad with twin analogs for so fucking long. I'm getting this as soon as I can.

They're a new detail Hyperkin added. You can see, midway through this article:

Why not use ds3? It's essentially identical and you can connect it through USB.

I love the Xbone controller and if the Elite version came in Bluetooth then I would be using that.

Like above, though, I have longed for an analog pad with six face buttons for an eternity.

• atrocious battery life, par for the course since it's a Sony
• those fucking triggers

This is way better than the xbox controllers. Xbone dpad is too small and weirdly placed. DS4 fixes the uncomfortable pad of older PlayStation brand controllers, this one is super comfy.

I use this for play on my real SNES, and for all emulation.
