Favorite secret characters back when you could unlock secret characters through pure effort. For me It's Captain Falcon

Pikachu is the only one in S tier, for a while people debated between Pikachu and Ness, based on their throws, but Pikachu's are just a little more overpowered. Fox is in tier A with Kirby, Ness has gone down to C as the way people play the game grew. Playing the same game for 20 years means only weird autists are left. Give the controllers to some nice normal functioning humans and I think it'd be pretty close between Ness/Pikachu/Fox

Really? Jigglypuff is reasonable, but rare, and ness shows up periodically when you know someone is going to be spamming the shit out of fox or falco, but the others are stupidly overpowered. Falco and marth dash so fast they actually skip parts of their animations, there is little reason to use anyone else unless you're autistic, or genuinely talented.

Not that anon, Tenchu 1 is so unpolished it's nigh unplayable, Tenchu 2 is pretty darn good but is starting to feel old, and Tench 3 (Wrath of Heaven - PS2) is my favorite stealth game of all time. Great soundtrack, big variety and handles smooth as a buttered tuna.

Neato

>> No.452334

>>452275
well, it's not without it's rough corners, like the depth of vision, and some say stiff controls, but's not actually bad, you learn it and it's consistant. Not the best stealth game there is but kind of unique, the stealth kills are encouraged and look pretty good for me even today. I also finished the game only some years ago too, so it should be playable if you're into moving stealthily and leaping from the shadows in for the kill. Loads of items, although a lot of them are not easy to acquire.

>> No.452353

>>452296
I am that anon, and I must agree that Tenchu 3 is recommendable, has split screen for versus and a co-op boss survival too, it's pretty awesome to fight them 2-2 with your friend. The prior post is in regards to 2, haven't played the first one, but I hear the depth of vision is even shorter.

>> No.452379

>>452353
Yeah, i've played the first one recently, the enemies have some sort of sixth sense that, paired with the tiny draw distance, mean it's nigh impossible to actually stay hidden.

And i've spent hours upon hours playing 2P boss rush on Tenchu 3, i remember there was some boss we could never beat.

>> No.452408

>>452379
Oh, I can imagine that about the first one.

And the boss rush, we got through it with my brother, but it took time and basically we had to resort to tactics and coordinate our attacks, the latter bosses were murder. To go through with it just willy-nilly would take some serious luck.

>> No.452447

Why waste time unlocking when you can use that effort to get a better job and buy all the characters you want

>> No.452482

>>452408
The 2P co-op missions were great too, coordinating efforts from two sides of a castle to get to the center without being seen was amazing.

Too bad the games that came after Wrath were pretty damn bad. Fatal Shadows was a whole lotta meh, the PSP games are weird as fuck and i haven't played Tenchu Z.
