What do you think of the Android port of FFIV?

>> No.4517398

Roman numbers sure are confusing

>> No.4517407

no need for that "like" in there

>> No.4517526

Almost got memed into buying it, but got the PSX version on Vita instead after I saw some screenshots. Why would they do that?

>> No.4517531

>>4517526
They just don't care. Outsourced the game to some amateurs for a quick buck.

PSX version unfortunately is real sluggish, but at least it has nice graphics and bugfixes.

I bought mobile version to be able to play at work and when on a quick downtime out and about.

The slowdown is manageable and it's a shame there's only one battle transition but for me the music is a huge improvement, although I know a lot of people disagree. GBA is still king overall.

What the fuck.

Just play GBA version, or the SNES hackrom with improvements

>> No.4518835

Same here, anon. I have it on steam, and I'm more interested in the story and battle mechanics, so nostalgia over sprites or menus isn't there. I'm enjoying it as well.

I want a port of the Anthology version for a platform that doesn't use optical disks, please. Same for IV.

Are the NES/SNES translated repro carts the best way to go with the older FF games?

>> No.4519416

GBA with romhacks all the way.

>> No.4519695

anyone know what version is on the supernes mini?

>> No.4520415

>>4517371
It all depends on whether you like the visuals or not.
I personally don't like it but if you can tolerate the visuals, then it's a decent option.
It plays well, at least.

I honestly prefer the Super NES version with the Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition the most.

>>4519695
The Super NES/Super Famicom version, obviously.

>> No.4520419

>>4518867
You mean the PSP version of 4 and the PSN version of 6?
Ok, done.

>> No.4520481

>>4520415
And all the glitches SNES had and no Dragon Den and Cactuar? No thanks.

>> No.4520537

>>4520481
Actually, the Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition patch fixes tons of glitches.
And the bonus content, I also often play the Advance version, and I love playing it, though not as much as the Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition.

>> No.4520669

>>4520481
Dragon's Den is shitty, lazy content that is not worth the loss in audio and visual quality.

>> No.4520740

>>4520669
An actual dungeon bigger than Kefka Tower and even a boss rush mode is Lazy content.

And the audio and visual quality is fixed by patches.

Meanwhile on SNES you will be crashing the game by using Sketch or losing your dog to a frog or simply getting a softlock for finishing Fanatics Tower without changing the party order.

Stats that do nothing, ailments that do nothing and more glitched rages not to mention the "masterpiecer of Woosley transsatiiOn" were not only they had problems with character restrictions as you need to write more stuff to convey meaning on english the translation itself wasn't a good job, as it feels he was writing to idiots (like the triggering Pipsqueak instead of Onion).
