Ok, I got a major problem.
You see, years before, I bought the CD version of the classic RCT2. Which means that I don't have the Triple Thrill pack included.
Is'nt there anyway to get the Triple Thrill pack files and put them with the Classic files or I have to buy RCT2 (with the pack) again ?

Does anyone know if OpenRCT lets/plans to let you change the ride open/test/closed button back to the traffic light from RCT 1 as opposed to the flag from RCT 2? And does it also allow you to disable the forced ride/gate only charging in RCT 2 scenarios? Because those were some of my biggest gripes with 2, and from the looks of it, they've already made quite a few good quality of life changes and I'm not sure if I'm just missing the option in a menu somewhere.

>> No.4550827

>>4550783
>Why should I play it over OpenTTD?
Locomotion and OpenTTD are pretty similar feature-wise, I think the devs basically backported a lot of the nice things from Locomotion to OpenTTD.

Locomotion can be though of as a more realistic take on Transport Tycoon. The models for the vehicles are more accurately scaled, train cars aren't the same size as buses for instance. Track can have smooth gradual turns rather than sharp 45 or 90 degree turns. You can actually build multiple grades of track without having to raise the ground level up. The track construction might take some getting used to if you're coming from OpenTTD, it basically works like RCT1/2 where you use the in game window controls to choose a particular piece and place it but you can also manually place track like in TT/TTD with a bit more effort. The pathfinding Locomotion needs some work, trains can get lost very easily without waypoints which makes complex networks a little difficult to build in Locomotion, at least if you're used to OpenTTD. Locomotion does *look* a lot like TTD/OpenTTD but its different in subtle ways.

I'm hoping OpenLoco improves on the original game like OpenTTD did.

Is it autistic to say it isn't autistic? It's just relaxing for me to spend time making things pretty, like painting a picture. It all just feels like an art medium.

I only did the closest half of the shops on main street here, don't have much to show of my work

It should not be that hard. First you have to find a ride with reasonably high I and N, like a Wild Mouse. Then you experiment with curves and shit until you get the same I and N, and then you just raise E with scenery.

According to this thread it wasn't a Schwarzkopf design. Someone by the name of Mister Pötzsch designed and patented it. Apparently Werner Stengel calculated the forces it would generate, and as such decided it shouldn't be built.

So when I did collabs in the past we used a Google spreadsheet + email. Is that still the most efficient way? I haven't used it, but is the multiplayer feature on OpenRCT2 suitable?

(Also, since the collab. above is filled, is there another?)

The old instruction manuals and strategy guides explained that when the station brakes strain to slow down the train, they wear out drastically faster. Ideally the train should be moving at a speed where even if the station brakes go out, it will gently "bump" into the train ahead and safely stop.
