What are your favorites?
I've finally managed to get pic related working on my PC. Never played it before, I'm really exited to see what all the hype is about.

How the hell did you get it to work?

I'm still running 32 bit Windows, so it wasn't that hard.

Honestly that kinda poopy Star Wars game on NES where Luke starts in a cave and you ride around in your speeder like GTA. I can't remember if I've ever even gotten through the Ewok sandcrawler level. That's always my favourite retro SW thing even though it frustrates me.
I've actually recently discovered that the game has a port on the Master System. What little I've tried from an emulator it feels nicer and smoother than the NES one. I kinda wanna buy it and finally concentrate and gitgud, if it's not stupid expensive for MS.

One of my favorite racers of all time. I played hundreds of hours on N64 and eventually upgraded to the Dreamcast version. I think I always used Mars Guo, if I'm not misremembering.

Super Star Wars
Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight.

People shit on mysteries of the sith. 90% of that I think is from the story.

But it has some damn neat levels. The spaceport was top tier. God damn that blew me away when I was little. Walking around that city and noone shooting at you because you were just another traveler

I didn't like it because I didn't pick it up for a while and by the early 2000s, when I did, the graphics had already became very bad by modern standards. I need to go back and replay it now that graphics had stagnated for a decade and they simply can no longer impress.

Holy crap. That cover of Star Wars is proof that Darth Vader had an all black mask. The Mandela Effected one has silver parts now.

Your pic related is very good. Have it on N64 and still play it ocassionaly, Niva Key's pod racer fully upgraded is really really fast.
My personal favorite Star Wars game though is the original Dark Forces. Sure it's a bit of a Doom clone. But the levels, sprites, guns, all are very good and the story is solid.

I was looking for my Mega Man 4 copy and found a case with this game, never played it to be honest, I think my mom bought it in the flea market
From what I read in wiki, it seems to be cinematic trash

check out the 'super star wars' series on the SNES, one for each game, hella gud

Could be worse. I had that game on gameboy. It is the same game, but with lower resolution graphics and no color.

It sucked (especially compared to Super Star Wars, which I also had), but I played it anyway because I had it.

I'm replaying those to test out my bluetooth receiver. Turns out Dual Shock 4 is sick for SNES. And yes, I have actual SNES controllers, but they are worn out as fuck and I'd rather not use them till they fall apart.

My verdict:
Star Wars: As good as it ever was. This is the game sold me on the SNES. I saw it in a store demo and was blown away by the graphics. It still looks sick, plays well, and is one of my favorite SNES games to pick up and play. I usually play on easy because it isn't stressful and I can beat it without dying. Normal is beatable but its kind of stressful because if you die against certain bosses, you might as well restart.

Empire Strikes Back: I hate this game. The controls seem super unresponsive and oh, it is impossible. I can't even get off Hoth.

Jedi: This one has some great boss graphics and is much easier than Empire. I usually play this one on normal difficulty. Great game, but it bogs down on Endor, just like the movie does.

It's not bad, I liked it. You get to shoot in 3rd person from cover and fly ships (sometimes 1st person, sometimes 3rd). Kinda basic but good for what it is

Never beat that as a kid. The Dagobah swamp creature boss was just too damn tough even with the Jedi powers you can get leading up to him.

Using passwords to skip ahead the game just got progressively harder, and could not beat anything. Those games were fun but brutally hard.

You also have to slash Dark Mara like, 50 times to kill her. Also the final boss. Then you'll discover that you don't need any lightsaber tactics, you can just run around flailing your lightsaber's strongest attack and kill them faster.

(I've finished it in 2015, by the way)
