A lot of the AVGN episodes are nitpicks.

Nothing is wrong with Simon's Quest besides it's a bit grindy.

Nothing wrong with Milon's Secret Caste besides it's a bit luck based.

A lot of the games he's reviewed are unmistakably terrible so it's hard to be wrong (think Action 52, Hong Kong 97, Big Rigs...).

Where you could start to disagree is with his reviews of games that he actually likes, such as the Castlevania series, as well as some of the games that are just debatable bad. With the latter he often nitpicks as previously mentionted, but he also usually tells the audience the game isn't really bad. An example would be Street Fighter 2010 which is actually pretty good, it just suffers from a clunky control scheme and some other minor issues.
