How is this gore? It's a PSX with a peeling sticker/decal set. There were shops here in my town that sold decal kits for various consoles when I was 22. I never did buy any, but they were pretty common, as far as I saw. I never knew anyone who bought one, but like I said, that's actually not that bad. Decent way to get the details you want on the console, even if you printed up your own. No skill requirement aside from being able to stick stuff to a piece of plastic.

Just saying, when I come to a gore thread and someone posts a paint job or a decal job on a console, I tend to dismiss those unless they're really awful. Seeing the inside of a console with tons of glue where a really shitty mod has been done or the frame cracked and they just tried to shore it up so it'd hold, or even when I see someone retrofit a GBA into a Genesis so they can attempt to play GBA games on Sega hardware.
THAT is gore. This shit is just whatever.

>>4462935
And you, this isn't gore. I don't see why you show this in every fucking gore thread. It's not gore in the slightest, it's cringey at best. Yeah, he has a bunch of consoles that may not be plugged up, although, I'm reasonably sure they are plugged up and that the cables are all behind that. It doesn't take much to route a small hole behind something that will remain sedentary. As for having multiple of each console, we have threads here talking about various mods, hardware revisions, and the like.
>>4462994
>>4463052
We talk about variants of the PS1, Genesis, and the like. We talk about what mods are viable and why we do or don't like them. Not to mention, you can tell they're plugged in because of the cabling on the PC-Core, the cabling behind the NES next to it, and if you look down at the Xbox and PS2 you can also see cabling.
I agree, the TV isn't optimal for this, but geez, the dude made his own set-up and you're pissed that he does thing you don't.
It literally boils down to "Because he wanted it."

I wasn't talking about his setup specifically, I though that you meant that PS1 had only composite.
Component RGB looks better then component YPbPr though, specially if you use the internal scaling of the PS2, like with GSM.

>> No.4463196

>>4463184
i didn't know until you said it that ps1 had scart. I like Ypbpr a lot because i can hook it into my tv and don't have to run it through an upscaler. I'll probably never get to see scart on a tv that takes it, So i can't really give you an opinion on what i think is better I've only ever seen it upscaled.

>> No.4463214

>>4463196
Oh yeah, I guess RGB really is only an option in SCARTland unless you use some high end display.
YPbPr is fine for modern flatscreens for consoles like PS2.

The thing with PS2 though is that you can force the RGB output to, i.e. 1080p if you have a 1080p TV and use RGB output, so you don't have to use an external scaler or the shitty scaler on the TV.
This also works for VGA monitors with Sync-on-Green support.

PS1 related to SCART is irrelevant though, if you have some PVM with RGB in, you can still use the PS1 with RGB. But like I said, this is probably more common in places with SCART.

Because you're giving the false impression that you should play a PS2 on an HDTV, when it will look like absolute shit because the games do not support high resolution. The machine on the picture is an early Xbox dev unit, it's from before the Xbox was even in production. The green dev Xboxes are just normal Xboxes with additional features and memory.
This is basically a normal Pentium 3 computer with normal but close to Xbox hardware that can run Xbox software/games. This would have been HUGE to help make old Xbox games on modern PCs a thing.

Only like 50 of those ever existed.

To counteract the parade of /v/ tier haters I would like to once again point out that this cabinet was carefully built with wider shelves in the center for wider systems and narrower shelves at the edges for narrow systems which is the not so obvious reason this is so endlessly posted. Gramps, it's a damn nice setup (other than the rf adapter lol). I'd like to do something similar but to a smaller scale. You can tell a lot of thought was put into this, as you said, look at how there are narrower shelves for some consoles.

If I ever build one for myself I want to put the same brand consoles near each other though, I kind of don't like how everything is scattered in this setup. Sega with Sega, Nintendo with Nintendo etc.

$86? That's a steal! Hell anon, you'd lose money if you didn't buy something that nice that's that cheap.

The sad part is, they probably think that it's great cause it's customized. Don't get me wrong, it takes time to get good at customization and it's not a bad first effort, but it's not something I'd want to put my name on and sell so someone.

When we were little my brother, just to piss me off, wrote his name in thick permanent marker across the top of our SNES. It really bothered me when I was a kid, but nowadays whenever I look at it, it's just an amusing and nostalgic memory.

I guess it counts as gore, though.

Oh, I also picked up a PS1 that someone carved "FAGGOT" on the lid with a knife or something at a yard sale once.
