Soul Blazer, I meant.

Thunder Force 4, just got it in the post yesterday. My hands are all fucked and sore, so I can't really tell if the game is as hard as it feels right now. I like the idea of getting to change your move speed on the fly.

emulating Dr.Mario on nes.
I managed to get to stage 19 in a single run but then I choked at the end.
Oh well next time.

I've been in a sonic mood after going through the genesis games, CD & mania so i started on sonic adventure 1 and I'm planning on going through SA2 afterwards.

Megaman 7.
Really enjoying it.

Been playing a lot of Daggerfall again recently, but I've also started up another run of Magic Carpet 2 and Master of Orion 2, not to mention, Master of Magic. Plus I did spend a bit of time in Descent recently.
I dunno, a mish-mash of things. They've all been enjoyable.

Just finished Samus returns and now I have a choice to make.

Try to finally beat marble madness,
Try to finally beat TMNT,
Play through kiwi kraze (new Zealand story),
Or continue first play through of illusion of gaia,

First time playing Unreal.
Can't believe it took that long.
Next up is Thief.

For one reason or another, I get really far into this game and then stop playing, I've already done it twice. Pretty annoying.
It's good though, really manages to feel like a huge adventure with the interconnected levels and everything.

>> No.4462284

I just beat Vandal Hearts, next up is Grandia, Tales of Eternia, and Xenogears. I'm doing nothing but JRPG's for the foreseeable future.

It runs out of steam towards the end. it was made at a time when 30+ lengthy levels in a game was a norm as opposed to modern 12-14 medium sized levels/missions, so it may feel like the game drags on too long.
My advice: take 1-2 day breaks if you feel getting burned out.
And then there's Na-Pali expansion.

Haven't been into jRPGs as a genre at all for years, but now various circumstances prompted me to pick up Final Fantasy VII again.

And it's still great. Played through the Shinra escape, felt pumped as fuck. Game's good, fuck the haters.

I'm really liking the game so far, the atmsophere is great, the only problem I have is that it lacks direction. Half the time I have no idea where to go or what I'm supposed to be doing.

By the way, I'm afraid I'm stuck already. I'm in the mines and there's this room with the propeller blades I can't get through, the air just sucks you in. I guess I have to deactivate the propellers somehow? Is there something I'm missing?

Well, I made it past that spot.
Apparently you need to strafe while going thorugh the airstream.
I don't think it's very intuitive, but ok.

it gets better; the first few maps are kinda holdovers from when it was basically just Quake.

It's definitely unique. The atmosphere is unmatched. Savor it boys.

It's not a perfect game, but I heard it once said that you never really beat Unreal, only survive it.

I've played it for the first time in my life last year and it's one of the greatest games I've ever played. All these "it's so overrated" fuckers are jaded trashtalkers.
