While there is definitely overlap, gameplay, personality, and collector channels can be different animals in terms of what will keep the channel afloat. If someone thrives on showing their latest pickups and/or their face when talking about some gaming news, chances are their fanbase cares more about either a surrogate friend or getting collection ideas than skilled gameplay. Probably harder to be a lasting celebrity if you only represent yourself through voice or not at all.
