I keep hearing the N64 is the 3D Platformer/Collectathon machine, but besides Mario and Banjo, what are other fine examples in the console?

It kinda depends on your tastes.
Some people like it, others don't.
For me it kinda hit's the "so bad it's good" range.

Glove was a budget title back in the day. While most N64 games cost 50 or even 60 dollars, you could take Glover home for just 20 or 25 if I remember right. I think just by that fact alone folks thought "it's cheap, therefore it's bad." without actually playing it.

I don't think it's just that, more like most people didn't have the patience for starting over whenever they lost the ball.

It's good, the ball thingy can get annoying and there's no reward for 100% (adding to that there's a godawful frogger minigame you must beat for the 100%) , but overall is a fun game.
Sad about the sequel never happening, it looked good.
