It aged surprisingly well for a PS1 game without cell shading look.
You can pick it up and can have as much fun as back then.

Stop trying to make this a fucking general

I know, videogames don't "age" because they stay exactly the same, but I mean "age" in terms of "advanced technology and controls", some games that got high ratings back then, like the first Tomb Raider, are today pretty awkward when it comes to controls because that aspect advanced, while Syphon Filter II "aged" that good that you can bring it out today just with a better graphic (even if it maybe one of the best looking PS1 games) and it would be still better than 99% on the market.

He knows what you meant, he is just autistic.

Honestly most ps1 games aged well if you are not a moron who plays them with sticks instead of dpad.

Sure, a game like Dino Crisis 2 would be at the height of the time today since arcade shooter are trendy again, but like I wrote, some high praised games from the 90s "aged" like shit. The first Tomb Raider controls like unfinished garbage, it got a pass back then because something like that didn't existed at the time, but it has just shitty controls overall.

Tomb Raider played like even back in the day, I remember being hyper aware of it. However it was very addictive in all of its trial and error glory, trying the same jump for ten times in a row and all.

Dino Crisis 2 is probably in top 5 ps1 action games. That game came insanely close to perfection.

SF controls are unacceptable for the current market, as is 99% of every 3D game from that era. People are fucking casuals. Less than 1 in 100 modern gamers will put up, let alone play a game like this. That figure is even lower for "professional" *laughs* "journalists". It's exactly zero.

Sure, the whole Auto aim stuff felt a little bit "old", but I played it last week the first time since 15 years (downloaded it from the PSN store) and it was fun as fuck, finished it in one day, now I downloaded the first Syphon Filter and the third, playing the whole trilogy again.

>are today pretty awkward when it comes to controls because that aspect advanced

i.e. now the game conveniently plays itself and ledges are literal magnets

Is this the power of properly aged games?

I love the fact that Syphon Filter 2 is everywhere on this board.
