I recently watched the Super Show and Zelda again and was honestly delighted to see the Zelda cartoons. If you take the zany voice acting out, the art direction is pretty nice.

We had a VHS of the SMB Super Show and that used to be pretty much my only exposure to it. I'd like to watch the whole show at some point, but I don't have friends who give a shit about these kinds of things, and watching it alone just seems like a waste.

It's more the fact that we're quickly getting to the point where you can fucking set your watch by this stuff. You can literally predict the next week of threads on /vr/ based solely on what the popular e-celebrity trash has made a video about in the last day or two.

Not only that, but it lets you know exactly who you're dealing with. That being mostly larping kids who had no idea that Thing™ existed until they saw said Tubetrash video about it. What possible discussion do you think this is going to start? The Legend of Zelda was pretty good for an early 90's action cartoon. It was sorta cheesy, but then so were the games it was based on. Megaman was cool too. They both had a relatively short run (I think Zelda had 13, Megaman had 26 episodes?) so they didn't overstay their welcome. They're just good campy fun.

Did anyone here ever watch the Mortal Kombat cartoon? I think it aired on TNT, but I've never heard anyone talk about it.

It was about as good as you can expect from a Zelda series based on the first two NES games, since the canon wasn't fully fleshed out yet. A bit Americanized of course, but it goes in the territory. At least it's not Double Dragon.
