Is it just me or is this game better with Duke Talk turned off? I also noticed the tone of the game becomes a lot more darker without Duke making one liners over everything.

In the first 3 episodes the one liners are restricted to episode starts, boss visits, some of the important moments like when your sub was destroyed or helicopter shut down, and secret areas with a dead sprite or such.

In The Birth they became obsolete and were used in irrelevant areas for some "joke". It got even worse in Alien World Order when shit talk was took into level 11 with stupid forced memes like "cream and sugar", "Siskova sisters", "say hello to mummy", "cut the fromage", "is that your problem" and other unfunny shit.

The one liners are hilarious and fucking make the goddamn Duke franchise what it is. To turn it off seems incomprehensible to me even if there is an option. Plenty of games have weird game altering options. The thing is though they are options. That doesn't mean you should ever have to do it.
