Don't want to hijack the thread but I played the GBA sequel first and found it way way better than the original. The three layer combat thing is lame and also you get to directly control the undead hero (as well as play the story mode as any character) in the GBA version.

I like that the 360 version lets you fast forward through cutscenes. Having to sit thought that long ass cutscene with Kanon multiple times kinds kills the replay value of the Saturn version for ,e.

and honestly, with Guardian Heroes, you either are going to play it vanilla, in which case you have ugly blocky sprites zoomed in/out on the screen outside of their original aspect ratio, or have them displayed with a filter over it in the 360 version. It was never a "pretty" game, even if its sprites were great.

I just use a simple logitech pad for most games, and a fight stick for arcade games. Far from perfect, but still plenty better than a fucking 360 controller of all things. Retro games are mostly played with a dpad and feel weird to me if you try to use a stick, and the dpad on a 360 controller literally only exists for changing weapons in FPS.
