Is this worth playing? I was thinking about playing through it and maybe it's sequel.

Fantastic game. A bit on the short side, but there's a new game plus mode. Highly recommend it.

Cutscenes and subject matter are moderately interesting. As far as an Action rpg? I think its way too tedious, the graphics are very muddled, its easy to miss loads of stuff on your first playthrough. I also never understood how the gun upgrade system worked AT ALL. Sure their were instructions, but they never made much sense. The game tosses new items at you constantly. Enemy encounters are random as hell, and get very irritating when you're just trying to move the story forward and end whatever section you're in. Very short, worth playing through at least once, or maybe up until the museum.

Just play it?

You won't know if you like the game or not until you play it. Other anons won't be able to dictate this for you.

That's because you have brain problems

First game is a fairly unique action RPG with a schlocky B-movie plot and some nice atmosphere. Definitely worth a shot.
Second game is quite different and much more in the style of the Resident Evil series, but it retains some RPG elements. If you like survival horror titles you'll probably be into it.
Just never under any circumstances play 3rd Birthday, it's an absolute disaster.

Play 1&2. Both thoroughly enjoyable, i would highly recommend. Other anons are right, two very different styles but both goof

Avoid 3

I really enjoyed the contemporary setting in this game, with the 80s cop new york vibe combined with jurassic park pseudo science. It's an interesting bridge between JRPGs and Survival horror for the time. Also the battle theme sounding like upbeat lobby music always gets me. That's what I appreciate the most of out of it anyway.

This is one of the stupidest posts I've ever read. Never share your opinion on a game again please.

>> No.4394530

I play through the game every few years. It's great and has an excellent OST. Combat starts to get dull around 70% through the game but the story and characters keep me going.

Just beat PE2. Extremely underrated. Matches the first game and is only not talked about because it was lower-profile release not by Squaresoft's A-team that did PE1.

Uh, why don't you just play it and find out for yourself?

What's with all these dumb threads asking for objective opinions?
