GOD eurofags are disgusting. I’ve tried dozens of their platformers and they are shit. Every single one is bad. The color palettes are horrendous and aggressive, the camera movement is nauseating, the levels are always random fucking shit like lollipops or baseball bats, the main enemies are drops of water from the ceiling and the music is often just a headache.

Why the fuck did people play these? How did the Amiga or ZX spectrum even have a user base? Are Europeans actually retarded?

First, most of the best European games AREN'T platformers, mostly because personal computers had issues with scrolling screens, so talented people generally dabbled in other genres.

So you're lookng at the wrong kind of games, buddy. Look for strategy games, euroshumps, or sports and racing games.

The only good European platformers I can think of are Manic Miner/Jet Set Willy series and Rare games like Knight's Lore.

And ZX Spectrum obviously had an userbase because it was cheap as shit, and it could use cheap casette tapes for storage instead of expensive floppies - why ELSE do you think an extremely underpowered system like that would be popular?
