Is there a subbed version of this? The dubbed version makes me want to jab straws into my eyes and pour drano into my skull. I'm not even a weeaboo purist who demands subs b4 dubs.

Please help. I love GCCX, and Ninja Gaiden is one of my favorite games!

You can choose the subbed version on the Retro Game Master DVD. The guide shows all the episodes on it if you click on product information.

I'm not sure how to use your link, it looks a bit like accidentally pressing f12 on any given page.

I don't know what you're saying. It's just a big text guide we've been using for years.

You could also try googling for a torrent of that DVD or something.

gotcha, thanks then for the effort. Guess I'll hit up a torrent!

In the meantime, question: Is Arino really as bad at games as the show makes him out to be?

>> No.4388583

>>4388578
He's definitely not great at a lot of games, although he's improved some over the years. He's better at some genres than at others. He's actually pretty smart and good at puzzle and mystery games.

There were three new ones all at once if you count the two Minecraft subs.

He's a pretty casual gamer that mostly plays modern stuff for entertainment. His favorite franchise is Resident Evil, I believe.

Hard to get THAT good at old school platformers when you only play them a couple days a year.

The start of the Championship Lode Runner segment was pretty awesome. The narrator goes on for a bit about how this is a notoriously bullshit hard game that lots of people couldn't even beat a single level on, then Arino goes "oh, I had this as a kid" and breezes through stage 1.

So what did everyone think of the new subbed special.

On one hand id rather they go back and finish the remaining eps from older seasons.

On other hand a tour hour arcade focused special was amazing to watch!

I wish they'd sub the rest of season 1, there's lot of really cool material in there.

Most normal episodes can be watched just fine without subs, though. Can't really do that with interview-heavy ones.

Any recommendations for episodes or specials with traveling? While I like watching Arino play, I really enjoy watching him go to stores and play games there, especially those small mom and pop stores that seem to be more garage boxes than actual storefronts, so comfy.

I'm also interested in picking up the Retro Game Master dvd, is it true they cut those parts out tho?

>>4388567
You can stream video off the /g/ FTP but I don't think the Kotaku subs (not dubs) are on there (yet). Streaming works with Kodi, VLC, anything that can handle weird streaming. So if anyone has the Kotaku subs you can upload them to the FTP with no credentials, anon login.

>> No.4396920

>>4396735
They do cut the "TamaGe" parts out of the RGM DVD. SA has them translated but their links are dead. They should be part of those "complete" torrents though.

Arino has been going to mom and pop candy stores over larger arcades almost exclusively lately, but all the recent episodes are untranslated. So almost anything in the #200s will have such a segment, but no English.

Alright, thanks! Downloading the 121GB pack right now for the older TamaGe parts, and I'll see if I can find the newer episodes raw for the more recent ones, will revisit the challenge sections later if they get translated then
