Note to self: Don't drink tap water at Jerry Garcia's

Literally no one talked about Gex games back in the late 90's to early 2000's when I was a kid. I swear, it's only been these last few years that I've heard hipsters, who unironically ironically jumped onto the retro game bandwagon, blabber about it. These fuckers barely know shit about games aside from cliches and meme ones like Mario or Sonic, yet here they are bringing up SNES game prices.

I was doing online schoolwork and the assignment was to write about geckos. So I put "i love gex he my favorite better than stupid old bubsy" "gex 2 was the best one because it was the one where he went into the tv" and "i wish i wish upon a fish that playstation make a new gex for the psp"

I got all of them right

Gex games are far, far better than anyone gives them credit for. The first one in kinda generic, but still competent. The last two are legitimately decent 3D platformers, and have some cute lines.

I was ten when Enter the Gecko was released. My friends talked about every other game - the Nintendo and Rare games (no surprise there), Mortal Kombat 4, 1080 Snowboarding, Nightmare Creatures, Hybrid Heaven, even Mischief Makers, etc etc - but not once did I ever hear them talk about Gex. Maybe you have a point about the age thing, might have been teenagers talking about it back then.

Jerry had already been dead for a few years when the game came out, the line was so dated that it didn't even make sense anymore.

I think it is a country or a wealth thing, grew up on long island, friends all had subscriptions to either Nintendo power or gamepro as well as internet access.

Gex! Despite the camera being difficult to control, I always really loved those games and the funny dialogue.

Rest in peace, Mr. Garcia. You were a lovely person.

The "wise-cracking, fourth-wall-breaking" character type really spoke me to as a kid for some reason, even though I never understood the references. Still don't. For all I know the Spacey one is real.

>>4381313
it's amazing how they made three games of it in secret and everything, isn't it?

The only good Gex game is the first 3DO port on the PlayStation.
