I just don't know why some people find that game difficult. When it came out I played it with a friend and it's like it instantly turned into an uncoordinated retard as soon as the cartridge was inserted. I've seen the same with other people. I finished it in a weekend.

Yep, there's actually a place where you need pixel perfect precision, and a few other cancerous tricks you need to do. And having to free all the electoons for the final boss is annoying. They should've made it so that you can still fight the boss, but once you free all of them you actually get to fight Mr. Dark (which you never do).
There are also too many cheap death places while the number of extra lives found is low, and farming tings to get lives is boring. They should've given you infinite replays or at least 5-8 lives per replay. Or just kick you out of a level section and remove your progress in it once you die (still without a replay limit).

Not really, no, pirate carts were pretty common in eastern europe. I got a region-lock-disabled USA version of Streets of Rage 2 (it plays with the music playing 3 times faster and has censored Blaze panties), a BK3/T2 multicart (T2 has extra credits), a bootleg of Ex Ranza (jap version, no sega logo and 2 levels have partially corrupt music).
Ex Ranza is notable because the cover has all the Sega logos and trademarks airbrushed out. I have a cover only for Gunstar Heroes that has that as well - when we bought Streets of Rage 2, some rich kid stole the box, so they put it in that. Oddly, the cart art for SOR2 is the asia versions, which says both Bare Knuckle II and Streets of Rage 2, since the game changes title screen depending on the console region, and Hong Kong had a mixture of both units.

People can beat even broken or glitched games if they try enough, of course popular difficult games can be beaten by anybody trying hard enough, but the fact they cry about it probably means they exausted their patience and imagination way too early.

I've never finished Battletoads, but I've certainly done that level ... it's a bit tough but not that big a deal. It's early in the game so you can get back there pretty easily to retry, and the challenge is totally straightforward, except maybe in those spots where you have to jump from island to island and the shapes of the islands make it a little bit confusing... that's where AVGN got hung up when he did it. But in the end even AVGN got through it, and he kinda sucks at games. It's hard, but not extremely hard.

i actually never finished it, and i love all the other mario games. yoshi's island was hard, but it was also slow and more puzzle-oriented, which makes restarting from the last checkpoint more frustrating imho.

The "gitgud" mentality reduces all games to just a series of a memorizable tasks. If you enjoy accomplishing difficult tasks for the sake of them being difficult is fine, but expecting everyone to enjoy this is absurd and flies in the face of common psychology.

I've finished this game on Genesis without much trouble. I remember Jungle Book being harder (neither felt too hard, though).

I can beat NES TMNT with no effort, but never made it past this stage.

I literally beat it last month after decades of not seeing it

You just have to pay attention in the spaceship otherwise its just a boring game and made me depressed because my relatives would fight a lot in the NES era.

I played this game in the late 2000s, and I legitimately found out how to do it because I recalled a meme I saw about it. It frustrates me because it's literally the ONLY PART OF THE GAME WHERE YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

I recall reading the manual, but does it mention this section at all?

The Ghosts 'n Goblins series.

It'd be at least almost fair if not for those fucking Red Areemer enemies that can dodge everything and follow you to the ends of the earth.

It's not difficult, it's just the lack of checkpoints that make it tedious, especially in the final stretch of the game.

Thank heaven for that one single checkpoint at the final palace, but the game really should have them in all towns and palaces.

Hackers pls fix

I was 6 and i know what you mean. Wasted lives and a few continues for being hasty so i just played carefully by waiting him coming down and get the right pattern when throws the arms off.
I still beat the game in a bit more than 2 hours or so because i wasted too much time on the emeralds. Got 6 emeralds and around Mystic Cave said "fuck it" to the 7th one. It was already getting late that day. Next day i got all 7.
