There's games out there with a huge demand and a huge supply (like Super Mario 3) that have low prices, and games out there with low demand and low supply (like MULE) that also have low prices.

Then there's games that aren't really that rare but have a demand that outstrips the supply (like Earthbound), and that's where you get really high prices.

Heh, reminds me of when I looked up 8 Eyes (a Castlevania ripoff for the NES which I'm pretty sure is fairly uncommon) on Amazon just to see how much it's worth. First price I saw was $150, which made me go HOLY SHIT. Then I realized that was for a new sealed copy. A used cartridge goes for less than a dollar. Not surprised, since it's a really obscure game that isn't very good, but it's not Stadium Events-tier rare.

No dings, dents, scratches of flaws. The item in question must play perfectly, contain all original manuals, art(if applicable,) and the box/case it came in. If discs, there must be NO scratches whatsoever, the disc top must also have no scratches, along with whatever came with it(the cases are an exception, since those are easily replaced, but everything else better be fucking flawless.)

Mint: factory sealed, nothing wrong with it

Excellent: no factory packaging, but otherwise flawless

Good: decent condition, might need a little cleaning

Anything after this is trash and you shouldn't bother, unless you enjoy fixing things. Then again this is my personal definition for buying stuff, so, apply your own rules to it man.

I've been looking in my local Craigslist and this is so far the only bullshit thing listed.

There's actually a fair amount of decent deals right now. Some guy is selling a pile of NES games for like, $1 to $2 dollars each, and they're not all shit. $2 for Shatterhand? I might have to call him up.

Another person is selling a Genesis with games for $30, and there's a GameGear with Sonic 2 for like, $15.

I feel like Craigslist is broken today. What happened to $900 for cart + repo box/map (no manual) LoZ guy?

Ever heard of Discreplay?
They get decant stuff now and then and have fair prices, though every neck-bearded hipster in Lexington has cleared most of the good stuff.

There is also Gameking in eastland if you are rich and stupid and don't mind going into a shady strip-mall. their prices are stupid and i'm not even sure they are still open but... yeah.

Aside from that... we have our crappy static flea-markets and... the internet.

Here is a tip though, there seems to be better stuff (as in goodwills and odd 2nd hand shops.) in the surrounding areas like danville and so on.

Oh and also there was a guy in nicholasville that sold rare stuff but asked way too much for a lot (but undersold other stuff).

Guys, these are some poor people who are probably having hard times. They're trying to get some cash for something that is pretty sad.

Don't laugh at them, they don't ahve the luxury of knowing what is and isn't worth what, or what video game generations are, or what is collectible and what isn't.
