I can go to a retro vidya store that doesn't give a flying toss about Sega shit, and grab one for 10 bucks, WITH THE BOX INCLUDED

I don't understand, he was selling the NTSC version for 40€ and he could also sell the PAL version?

Yup.

Translated the offer:
"Earthbound English Snes Super Nintendo

Without picture.

odd i don't have a picture of my sega cd box by itself... so ignore the other thing.

although the box is white around the edges i got a working sega cd in box, an extra genesis 2, a composite a/v cable, and a loose copy of samurai shodown for $25

only downside is the genesis 2 was lacking a power cable and i got the price because i had to ghetto-rig the sega cd to play.

Precisely, there is no pal release, it's most likely just a cheap repro. cart.

The dude also sells a french version of chrono trigger... I wonder if people really fall for this shit?

>> No.432026

Honestly I haven't had a bad experience yet. Once got a game with a scratch in the cover that wasn't visible in pictures, nothing major, and a stain from glue used to hold the spine card on.

A plastic plate. Seriously. Plastic.

The saddest thing is that this is apparently that rare and people have paid obscene amounts for it.

It's still completely fucking retarded, though.

People do the same over here in the United States with flea markets. The one nearest to me is particularly infuriating because it's held outside in what is pretty much an old, cracked parking lot. And if it rains, any of the games are pretty much fucked.

I try get out every other Sunday, the seasons come back around so there should be more car boots happening now.
The ones in my area only charge 20p - £1 so it's not too bad, I know what you mean though it can be pretty hit and miss. I've never 'hit the jackpot' but got some good bargains and quite enjoy rooting through piles of crap looking for random gaems.
Ebay pisses me off but if you're after something in particular it's the only option really.
I also check gumtree in my area everyday, fucking gutted though missed out on an unboxed NES and zapper with 23 boxed games and a couple unboxed yesterday for £70, there was Zelda and Noah's Ark in there with would have covered the £70 alone (if sold on ebay).
