I recently played Super Mario World.

It's too easy. Dumb down for stupid little kids.

You get so many chances for extra lives... with those bonus games after getting 100 points, with those tic tac toe bonus games, with 100 coins, etc.

I ended up having like 200 lives when I beat it.

It's not a challenging game. The Donkey Kong Country games are waaaaay better.

The problem with the super gameboy is that there was an entire Gameboy in the cart. The snes did very little work, so you would somehow need a snes rom to load another emulator which apparently is fucking hard and you couldn't just do it on the rom the emulator would have to know how to handle it too, which the built in emulator can't. You can get GB ROMs on the SNESC if you like that just boots from the same UI, it just runs a different emulator from command line. I know it's not exactly the same as a super GB but it's pretty good imo.

I loved the game as a kid and would probably like it now (and even appreciate it in new ways) if I played it again, but: It's still a silly and awkward mechanic, as it is in most/all the later Mario games... actually it's silly in Mario 3 too. You don't need 300 chances to get extra lives, whether there's a save system or not. And if there is one, then you don't need a conventional Mario-style lives system at all. It's just a weird carryover from the past.

Also that guy was right about the game being too easy. I mean difficulty has never been a strength of the main Mario series.

Here in brazil, soccer games are like, the only thing most 'gamers' care, and, in that time, konami made the International Super Star Soccer Series (actually, decent games). I remember that I was all excited to show this game to a couple of friends, thinking they would think the game awesome as I had.

Well that's a tough one, as the snes has tons of fantastic games in specific categories, like jump n run, adventure and so on.

It's my favorite game. It's a little easy except for the infinite demon and the dark demon. The real meat of the game comes from the atmosphere, music, and the exploration. The sprite work is easily the best on the SNES, but at some very specific points it causes some slowdown, this occurs maybe 3 times per playthrough. If you don't know where any of the items are the game may take 5 ish hours to complete. I would give my left but to be able to experience that game for the first time again. I envy (you) anon.
It makes me very mad that the MvC series does not use the Demon's Crest design or any of the transformation mechanics, even as skins
