This isn't like the NES Classic. Quantity was significantly increased for the SNES Classic with promised restocks throughout the remainder of this year and through next year. And demand isn't as high for the SNES Classic as it was for the NES Classic.

Have fun sitting on them.

Got one at Gamestop this morning. Loving it so far, I really like how the demo reel uses your own savestates. It sounds like it'd be really inconsequential but it's cool to watch Mario fuck around in the menu, switching between games and showing off your own gameplay.

Maybe on Facebook people don't know, but on /vr they do. I'd imagine a lot of people want it because it is official in general, comes with two new official controllers, and a tiny SNES shell. Not much different from people collecting old game carts. Not everyone buys stuff like this due to sheer ignorance of the alternatives. In fact, if water that a lot of older collectors were emulating before many "just [insert alternative to buying official materials] bro" were even playing SNES, NES, etc games at all.

the reset button brings you back to the main menu, press down on the d-pad to select where to save it, then press Y to save it. to play from the save state you hover over it and press start.

I'm on the fence, I lucked out and got one but I only really want the controllers. I don't give a crap about having an emubox for SNES...except, it is honestly a pretty easy thing to just carry around. Definitely the most simplistic setup for a collection that contains a who's-who of the biggest games on the SNES. Might be useful for my visits to places that do not have CRTs (which is more common than not nowadays).

Nintendo realized how much money they left on the table the first time around, so they've gone back to collect.

Call it petty but I'm actually annoyed at this thing. It's really cool and interesting but I can't help but feel jealous that it makes my actual SNES obsolete, especially if it gets hacked.

This is me. I already emulate any of the games I care about whenever I feel like it with a USB SNES controller.

But $80 for all the stuff you just said -- and a slightly simpler and more accurate process and collector's item -- is nothing.

Not worth stressing out for, but I have a friend who held one at a store for me, so it's no biggy.

>> No.4297110

>>4296228
I don't think you get why people want one of these things. It's not about the games included. It's about how collectible these mini consoles are. If it was just about the games, they're going to modify it & put in more games(which is already happening).
