You're Spiderman, or later in the game, Venom -- you can web sling and go around beating the shit out of everyone and the soundtrack kicks ass and is perfect for the Sega Genesis sound chip -- all boss fights happen in interesting locations and the difficulty curve is smooth and it feels rewarding to make it further each time

If you go into it knowing it's a beat-em-up, and you absolutely love Spiderman / Venom and the comic books -- it's really a game any Sega Genesis owner should have

You're right though -- not necessarily any wow factor, but a solid title
