I didn’t see one in the archive so forgive me if this is redundant. Y’all know the drill.

I just got this set up today. The genesis was previously hooked up to my modern TV and the flicker was unbearable. I know this isn’t a great CRT but I found it by my dumpster for free and cleaned it up, so I can’t complain.

My N64 is still hooked up to my modern TV because I play it with friends when we get together and drink, so it is just easier that way.

In the middle of cleaning up, but this is my attic setup at the moment.

Real Sega Mega-Gene Drive™ is currently hooked up in my bedroom, so the Mania statue is standing in for it.

Just moved a broken 32'' version of the set in >>4280521 behind the monitor with Outrun on it until I can figure out how to fix it.

I love these multiple TV set ups but I don’t have the room. I live with my fiancé and I’m lucky she lets me take up some of the space I do (I collect records and have a turntable setup as well). Ive never even bothered to ask anyone, any specific purpose for the multiple TVs? Just better output for different consoles?

>>4280674

Different strokes, man. Love AJJ. Been listening to them for about 10 years and they’re locals, so I’ve seen them perform over and over, have seen the positive energy they bring to the Phoenix scene, and gotten to shoot the shit with them multiple times befor and after shows. A lot of personal value in their music for me.

I actually have a few more in the adjacent room, though most have various problems at the moment; I'm a bit of a collector in regards to that, but most have a different look about the picture they offer which some games look better with and so on. The big one is also essentially a massive PC monitor, so where the rest are sort of stuck to low resolution retro console signals, it can technically do all the way up to 1080p(doesn't look the best though), so there is that.

Looking a bit too blue now, at least from that picture; Were you using some sort of test pattern or what have you, or just adjusting it by eye?

Also, I'm not sure if the NEC monitors have similar switches, but if you're connecting via BNC and there are termination switches for each one, you might want to check that they're all set the same way as that can affect proper color balance.

I have (had) three 14" Trinitrons, and I sold one yesterday. I told the buyer that when he uses full RGB scart, the picture flips over to widescreen and that he had to push a button on the remote to revert it back to 4:3. And he said, "Oh, well I'm just gonna use composite anyway."
Made me confused, sad and angry all at once.

Welp, this is my current setup right now. My dad and I just moved into his new house and after 2 years of planning, research, hunting, bargaining, and repairs, I finally have my PVM 2530 RGB setup.

The only two RGB consoles I have right now are my RGB modded SNES mini, and my Neo Geo AES.

Those boxes in the back are the rest of my consoles and games. Once I have my Kallax shelving units delivered and built, I'll be much better off.

Also that box underneath my AES is a dvd player hooked up through composite, I pretty much use it just to watch Robotech and Godzilla on when I'm board.

Have been meaning to find somewhere else for it, but haven't actually gotten around to doing so. If it wasn't so wide, I'd actually probably put it on the Sony component stand underneath the PC CRT. Definitely going to do that with one of the monitors I have laying around at some point, just need to figure out which.

Maybe once and if I manage to get a more sizable number of albums or what have you to listen to, that opinion will change, but eh.

Miami is a concerted swamp city and the most it has going for it is an active smashfag scene which somehow does not really lead to any level of “retro” stuff like in Cali or New York.

This place sucks. Florida sucks. My only other option would be to actually drive up somewhere. I have a job I have to go to almost daily, that’s out of the question.

Sure, if I wait who knows how long I might get lucky (I realize a lot of us waited here probably for our PVM’s, but you probably have a higher chance finding it where you live desu) so I’d rather ship at this point.

It's two speakers actually and no, those speakers were built for only the PVM 2030 and 2530 to use. The spent a year on eBay hunting those down and got them for a good price.

Update.
Now I have all my shit on the shelves. I've also ordered RGB scart cables for my Genesis and Saturn for now.

> That SMB3 shadowbox is pretty clever.
Thanks. It's the most memorable scene for me and just feels too perfect not to do as the shadowbox.

>what became of the original cases?
I have two large totes in the basement with any cases not on the wall, with exception to games that didn't have cases (second hand stores, trading) or games which I sold the cases because the price was more than I wanted to keep it (Ogre Battle, Megaman X3, etc). And doing the cases was satisfying as hell. I actually had to 'make new' nearly all of the Genesis ones since there was no good standard template.

>aside from the lack of a CRT this room is divine.
I had a CRT and it died. I've learned to accept the OSSC and a low latency HDTV as 'good enough', though really hoping a near-zero lag flat screen technology comes out soon like a spinoff of OLED or someshit.

Why do all you have faggots insist on shoving your game systems into tiny little rectangular spaces? Do you not understand that this shit needs airflow? You're slowly killing your consoles by means of pure retardation.

The old monitor I had was a BVM-D32E1WU and I haven't actually been able to find a working replacement for sale that wasn't 10 grand. I looked at other monitor options, but nothing in that size range has been able to fill my feature needs (32+ inches, have RGB inputs, widescreen so it can do 1080i at least for newer stuff and PC). I'd have to have two displays if I settled for pretty much anything else.

What happened to the BVM?

Power surge that took it and a few other things out. Fried something that I was told can't be fixed due to lack of parts. I was extremely bummed.
