There is a place near me called "UltraZone" that had those games as of 2 years ago (last time I was there). I don't know if they still have them anymore. Many years before that I used to go there and play the grid alot with a buddy of mine.

then he became a huge leftist and told me I am literally racist because i'm white and blocked me on everything

Those games also aren't playable in MAME. I don't know if computer hardware just isn't there yet or if the people contributing to MAME development just don't care about arcade games from the mid-nineties onward. It's a shame because I have a lot of nostalgia for later arcade games.

Pic related is almost playable in MAME, but it runs like ass and has tons of audio and visual artifacts. You also can't change any of the settings since it crashes when you hit the service button.

you fucking ignorant dickhead, do you have any idea how much effort emulating boards can take? they need to acquire a real board then crack the encryption which can range from no issue to removing chips to be decapped in acid which btw if they get wrong kills the chips and they need another board, then there's the architecture, getting the slowdown if present accurate and so on on top of the facts that therte's thousands of arcade games and it's an ongoing project. All of that effort is something you get for free you spoilt cunt.

The Grid actually works pretty good in MAME, despite being marked as Not Working. Sure it's clearly not there yet, but large chunks of the game work perfectly if you actually try it.

/vr/ doesn't understand MAME at all. It's full of mongoloids trying to run shit on their meme Raspberry Pi and Android emulators and wondering why nothing works. If I can run Playstation games on it, why can't I run what was cutting edge bespoke hardware that worked like nothing else before or since on my equivalent of a pocket calculator? Lazy bastards.

I wish this game was better. Does some cool shit, but it's ugly as sin (in the same way that Revolution X is, even if I do think the scaling shit both games do is cool) and I don't like the courses or handling that much.
well, I guess my wish was granted -- OutRunners is nearly the same game but better in every way except for the board it runs on

>> No.4295982

>>4295879
Pretty much my thoughts exactly about Cool Riders. The handling is really bizarre, it seems like accelerating out of a corner sends you into a wheelie where you can't steer for a second. Also the music is kinda tinny and weak instrumentally, really lacking for Sega. The melodies are still great though, especially A Little Good and the kickass arrangement of Theme of Love.
